Sigma SD9

Never mind the arguments for and against this camera I now have one and as such would like to hear how anybody else who has one has coped with using it at race meetings...or will I be unique around the circuits ?
Any tips, pitfalls, flaws to watch for?

I saw a woman at Castle Combe using the SD9. Mid 30s, mediterranean looks, sunglasses, shiny black hair with a very slight tinge of dark blue, white strappy top with turquoise piping along the top and bottom edges and the legend "Plaine" etched in orange left-bottom as I looked at her from the front, apple green leggings reaching to just under the knees (I forget what they're called) and black shoes. I believe she had a small fake tan leather satchel over one shoulder.

Anyone recognise themselves?

Understood. I don't actually know of anyone on the forums on which I post using an SD9.

One thing to remember when shooting digital is not to spend all your time checking shots on the LCD, as you'll miss lots of other, better pictures. I know of quite a few people who do just that, then complain "if only...".

I think I just had a disaster at Oulton Park..Sigma SD9 first outing and it was horrid. Kept failing to shoot, informing that there were either no images on the cf card or no cf card was present...batteries were fine at the time. Later the whole thing froze in the ON position and I couldnt switch it off..I missed no ends of shots and to add insult to injury I cant upload anything fromn the camera as despite installing the software on three seperate pcs with three sepearte o/s all just hang...to say I'm p****d off would be the understatement of the millenium

1st, is it the first time you have used it and did you format the card? If so, then take it back to where you bought it. It is either something silly that you have missed or a fault with the camera or card. Good luck

If the card is new, or new to that camera.......YES.
Have you not read the instructions?
