I'll go for Babini /Davies DBR9 or Bertolini / Piccini MC12

If the Vette C6's are on suitable tyres (knowledge lacking, assistance required??!!) then GPLK or PSI could do the business!
Other than that we can't loom past one of the Vitaphone MC12's surely? But wouldn't it be nice if Bouchut or 'Koxie' shoved one of the Lambo's into the mix - the shorter distances might just aid their cause no?? |

Corvettes have been strong at Zhuhai in the past, so they're a good bet for this weekend as well. I believe all 3 are on Michelin: GLPK and Carsport Holland/Phoenix for sure, PSI has tested on Michelins this spring and the sticker is still on the car, so I'm guessing they're staying with them after their mid-season switch from Dunlop last year.
The other strong cars? Piccini/Bertolini for Playteam and Babini/Davies for BMS, obviously, and Bartels/Biagi on Michelins should be strong. I'm gonna give a couple of races for Wendlinger/Sharp to come up to pace. Lambos could surprise. They have the best lineup all-told. I'm thinking that Mondini/Monfardini could be strong in time too. In GT2, one of the AF Corse cars is a good bet. Ecosse and BMS are both hurt by Pirellis, but they'll be close. Ebimotors and Tech 9 will be hurt by their gentlemen drivers, and not even Marc Basseng can make a 996 competitive at all. |

Taken from Fia Gt site .....
The first 80-minute practice season of the year was close and varied, with rain showers and a wet track making things even more interesting, with slick, intermediate and wet tyres all being used. Four different makes led the session, with Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Maserati and finally Corvette all taking their place at the top of the times. But in the end it was the Corvette C5R of Kumpen and Longin – victorious here in 2005 – which set the best time, with a lap of 1:32.274 for Kumpen. In GT2, BMS Scuderia Italia started its first GT2 season with the best time, for Collard in the nr 97 Porsche 997 GT3 RSR. The nr 2 Vitaphone Maserati was second, ahead of the nr 5 Corvette C6 of Hezemans and Deletraz, with the nr 11 Playteam Maserati fourth. Jetalliance's Wendlinger and Sharp were fifth and the first Aston, ahead of the team's second car. In GT2, Collard led the nr 51 AF Corse Motorola Ferrari of Bruni and Ortelli, with Kirkaldy third for Scuderia Ecosse. What time is it showing on motors tv ? Nice one Collard !!! |

Its not on Motors TV. Men and Motors are due to have full coverage of the race but it hasn't been scheduled yet, I guess the deal came through a bit late. Sky Sports have hour long highlights on Thursday.

looking at the entry list, i looks like a promising season. I think qualifing being so close backs that up.
Is any team running more than 2 drivers? |

as for Men & Motors live coverage many of us have emailed Men & Motors and the SRO and not recieved any replys, so i guess its a case of switching over when the race is on and see if it is being broadcast |

I think the race is almost surely in the hands of Vitaphone (Bartels/ Biaggi) Maserati- but only because i'm a cynic. isn't one or other C5R driver slightly not as good (as it were) than the other, and not quite on the ultimate pace?
