Whats your most memorable drive/moment from a Grand Prix.
Mine has to be the 1984 Monaco race and the storming drive by Ayrton Senna and Stefan Bellof, in vastly superior cars and in appaling wet conditions. Senna (in 2nd place) was catching the leader(Prost) at a huge rate of knots and would have undoubtedly won the race if it hadn't been for Jacky Ickx waving the red flag to stop the race. Both Bellof and Senna seemed to be able to overtake at will on a circuit that is supposed to be impossible to overtake on. A great moment that 'humbled' a lot of big names...Prost was noturious for hating the wet and wasn't really a worthy winner on the day. |

Monaco 1984 was a great one, but my favorite is Dijon 1979. Villeneuve and Arnoux dicing for second spot (Jabouille was far ahead in the lead). Now, that's what racing should be all about - wheel-banging, overtaking all over the place, using every inch of the road...
