Ilmor, we have a problem...?
Grandprix.com's reporting that Merc's new 2002 engine is underperforming and a senior engineer has been asked to leave because of the problems.

IMHO Norbert Haug (read Mercedes)needs to take ownership of the manufacturing of the engine and move the operation to Germany. BMW builds its engines in Germany and has avoided all the problems inherent to giving the manufacturing to a different organization.
Ilmor are becoming a joke and cannot afford to mess up again. Perhaps it's too late for this year but they need to get rid of Ilmor. |
