FIM Winners Game 2010 Summer Cup

I don't know if you know but this weekend begins the 2010 season for MotoGP. I know you thank me for this info.

FIM Championship is a minor point, the real interest is the beginning of the SUMMER CUP 2010.

2010 SUMMER CUP!

RULES:

----------------------------------------------

Object of the game:
You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners.

Scoring:
If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points.
If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points.
In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points.
If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points.
If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points.

Time limit:
Guesses can be done until one hour before the official time for the star of the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race. Even if the race is delayed because unusual circumstances, the time limit will not be changed.

Remarks:
Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three different games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like.

Apart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them.

The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points!

There will be two separate championships: Summer Cup until mid season and Autumn Cup in the second part of the season.

In case of tie, it is ahead who has better score in the last round, then in the second last round, etc. If there is still a tie in "Total" category, it is ahead who has more points in MotoGP, then in 250cc. Finally, if all of that fails, it is ahead who has guess earlier in the last round (and here there are not further possible ties!).

Example:

Let's suppose you put the following guesses and the real winners are Aggarawanda, Poggiali and Gibernau:
125 = Angel Nieto, Aggarawanda, marcus (you get 2.5 points for Aggarawanda)
250 = Kocinsky, Phil Read (you get 0 point, you failed)
MotoGP = Gibernau, Agostini (you get 3 points for Gibernau)

If you need to change your guess, please post another one (don't edit). Remember the limit is one hour before the scheduled start of the first race (125cc in this case), any further edit after it will un-habilitate the post.

Sadly, out of time, Dani.

I'm feeling magnanimous and I am myself going to pass this round, to give some advantage to the rest of players. A sort of handicap (it is also related to some confusion about the schedule in Qatar but it is a minor point).

Anyway, to show the strength of my psychic powers, I'm going to reveal what could have been my guess:

125: Marquez, Espargaro, Terol
Moto2: Simon, Elias
MotoGP: Stoner, Rossi

Schummy was at least lucky with Moto2 - no one predict correct winner. I got only 2.5 points but in Finnish forum where we had to pick top 5 I had following for MotoGP

1. Stoner
2. Rossi
3. Lorenzo
4. Dovizioso
5. Hayden

(sleepy, in an asteroid) Eeeehh?... Who is calling me?

(turning around in the crater-bed) It must be I was dreaming, perhaps a nightmare.

(an alarm sounds...) Oh! My iGinoid phone is warning me I have to put that #?&@ classification in the web! (turning around once more, lazily, the sun dawning in the asteroid) Just let me another hour...

I'm (uncharacteristically) sorry for the delay. The reason is I really did not participated in this round so I didn't care a lot about the result. Well, it is not true, but it is the most psycophatic reason I have found for this delay (in fact I have been rather busy).

So, here we go.

marcus was the best, he was the only one who guessed two winners. gomick and "newborn" David had a bad day, but not worse than me, of course (I missed the deadline). Even when I am lame, I am lame in a magnificent way
Code:
QAT 125 Mo2 MGP = TOT
=========================
marcus 3 0 3 = 6
Dani 0 0 3 = 3
jhansen 2.5 0 0 = 2.5
Tazz 2.5 0 0 = 2.5
Bleu 2.5 0 0 = 2.5
gomick 0 0 0 = 0
David 0 0 0 = 0
=========================
The different classifications are, of course, still very green, but the pattern is that marcus is dominating everywhere (except the wtf-category Moto2).
Code:
125cc:
marcus 3
jhansen 2.5
Tazz 2.5
Bleu 2.5

Moto2:
NOTHING!

MotoGP:
marcus 3
Dani 3

Total:
marcus 6
Dani 3
jhansen 2.5
Tazz 2.5
Bleu 2.5
Jerez will be exciting (I suppose, Dr. Livingstone). I am really looking for it.

In fact, I nervously wait in front of my PC until race data appears in FORIX website. I reload and reload the page, when it finally appears there it is so exciting, all those numbers in a table. GREAAAT!!

One day I realized that humans need to go physically where the race is happening to fully understand who ends in what position . Apparently apes has not yet grasped the beauty of columns of digits, they prefer that electromagnetic chaos they call "image".
