I have no idea what you're talking about. What are F1 stock cars supposed to be?

I don't know if there is an online rule book/guide, if you go to the stoxnet forum http://www.stoxnet.com someone there will be able to point you in the right direction.
For those that don't know F1 stockcars race in the UK and Holland on 1/4 mile Paved and Dirt Ovals, where contact between cars is allowed. These are not stock cars in the north american sense of the word. |

BriSCA is the governing body and there is also the BSCDA (which is the drivers association). Both have good websites.

Anyone wishing to obtain a copy of the BriSCA F1 2007 Rules and Regulations should send a cheque for £10, payable to the British Stock Car Association, to Buxton Raceway Limited, PO Box 40, New Mills. SK22 3WZ

It's a contact formula, so they have pusher bars front and rear. The racing is close and entertaining (mostly). I guess they have look a little like Sprint Cars, without the wide rubber, with a clutch and a couple of forward gears. The links will give you plenty to look at. |

F1 Stocks and NZ superstocks are completely different, yes we have a bit of a driver exchange going but thats as far as it goes. Having watched quite a bit of both of them though I'd say ours in NZ are better

I am a little affected by something, so it may have come out wrongly. The series that blows my mind is when they race the figure-of-8 with a ground level crossing of paths. A lot of the drivers have the look of insanity when interviewed, which, I have to say, is not exactly surprising given what they are (in)voluntarily doing. It makes good viewing, though: no doubt about it. Thankfully, crossroad accidents are not that common all things considered. Last edited by Dutton; 28 Jul 2007 at 04:47. |

Just to explain a bit further and I'm not pointing this at you Dutton, just trying to educate people. F1 stockcars do not do figure 8 racing. That type of racing in the UK is known as Banger Racing which is old road cars stripped out with a basic roll cage fitted and go racing, this is probably what you are thinking. F1 stocks are purpose built from box section steel and while they use some stock parts from Ford Transit vans all other parts are race parts. 99% of cars use Chevy engines big block on dirt and small block on paved tracks. Although the sport is a hobby for all drivers alot of the top drivers have a car for each surface with the paved track cars being alot lower and I think they also have a wider track.
