Brands Hatch BRSCC Easter meeting..
Welcome all to the alternative to going to Mondello to see the BTCC
Mighty Minis are back on track for the second (and third) race of the season. It's been 2 years since I last raced at Brands, so I'm looking forward to really screeching my tyres 'round Paddock Hill. Timetable is thus: Sunday qualifying 10:00 Mighty Minis (after crack of dawn scrutineering) 10:25 Southern FFord Zetec 10:45 BRSCC T-pots 11:15 Sports 2000 11:45 Formula Force 5000 12:20 Super Mighty Minis 12:45 Sports 2000 Pro --Lunch-- Sunday racing 14:00 Mighty Minis (16 laps) 14:30 Southern FFord Zetecs (16 laps) 15:00 Sports 2000 (25 mins) 15:35 Super Mighty Minis (16 laps) 16:05 Formula Force 5000 (25 laps) 16:35 Southern FFord Zetecs (14 laps) 17:00 Sports 2000 Pro (30 mins) Monday qualifying 09:00 Southern FFord Kents 09:20 Porsche 924s 09:45 Britcar enduro 10:20 MG Midgets 10:45 BRSCC Production Saloons Monday racing 11:10 T-Cars (10 laps) 11:30 Southern FFord Kents (16 laps) 11:55 Mighty Minis (14 laps) 12:20 Porsche 924s (14 laps) --Lunch-- 13:20 Britcar (120 minutes) 15:30 T-Cars (10 laps) 15:50 Formula Force 5000 (25 laps) 16:25 Southern FFord Kents (14 laps) 16:45 Super Mighty Minis (14 laps) 17:10 MG Midgets (14 laps) 17:35 BRSCC Production Saloons (30 minutes) Formula Force 5000 looks like it's going to be very interesting again!, although there's no entry list in the final instructions. Wierd... Sports 2k Pro only has 3 entries as of the 10/4/03, as does the BRSCC Production Saloons. I can see them getting merged with others unless they drum up some more entries.. Looks like a good couple of days racing, although last time I watched the Sports 2ks, they bored me to sleep! |

What are the Britcars then? They're getting a fair amount of track time it seems!

Britcar is a "Bring what you want to race" Enduro series.
Last time at Silverstone amounst the entries there were Fiesta's, Clios, Lotius, a Ferrari, Marcos' a BMW M3 and and Ex DTM Merc all in one of 4 classes. Well worth it, and if you go to www.eerc.co.uk there are vouchers for reduced entry, Buy 1 get another in free type thing. |

It's usually £10 to get in, but ilke Jason says, if you go to the eerc site, you can get a 2 for 1 entry.
Britcars sometimes run for 6 hours (at Snetterton) - it's a multi-class saloon enduro series. Check out the website for more info. |

VOUCHER
Go here : http://www.wood-scott.com and about half-way down the page you'll see the "Voucher Offer" link. Clixk this and it opens a .pdf file which you print out and this will get two people in for £5 (prob only Monday though as EERC race only on Monday). Also, when you use this voucher you (should) get another one allowing the same entry to the next round at Silverstone on 3rd May. I'm racing in the Britcar race myself in one of the Daniels Motorsport Fiesta 1800s. I haven't seen the entry list yet but as Jason mentioned there is a wide variety of cars on display and plenty of track action. The DTM Merc was piloted by non-other than Andy Rouse (& Son) and another ex BTCC pilot, Phil Bennett was in a super-trick Honda Integra. Maxx |

BTW, in case that is not clear. It is £5 entry TOTAL, for 2 people (i.e. £2.50 each).

Britcars are also testing on the Saturday.
If anyone is down there with camera at anytime then I would love a couple of shots of the GulfAir Golf in action please. Chris - you under-estimated the Willhire - it's 9 hours this year with a 24 hour race scheduled for next year at Silverstone. |

Chris, what number do you race as - we'll be there Sunday to cheer you on - my friend has a box and has invited us as a test run for a corporate bash the following day, so tell us your number and we'll all be cheering for you(about 20 of us I should think!)
