I'll be arriving in the area thursday night but probably not going to the track til friday morning. As usual, you can find me at Intersport or anywhere that features a speedy bmw.

I might be going. It depends on whether or not I can get my hands on tickets sometime in the next week.

I'll be on post somewhere around the circuit.
Look for a blue Jetta with rally lights and/or a Western Ohio Region SCCA banner on the wall in front of the post. Can't wait to get to the red hills of Georgia! Tuesday, 10AM, I'm leaving Dayton and won't look back until Sunday morning! WOO-HOO! |

It doesnt look like that other hurricane is gonna hit the coast, so it should be nice weather for the week.

Hopefully, although Atlanta area schools were closed from the rain from Ivan, so I am cursious if anybody knows what grounds of track are like--should I be packing hip boots?

Quote:
The weather in the Atlanta area has been warm and clear since Friday afternoon. On campus, there are a few muddy patches still remaining (mostly from the grassless patches of ground scattered around due to constant construction), but the precipitation has dried out for the most part. I would expect Road Atlanta to be the same. |

Sounds good to me. Should be cooler then Florida, dryer, and far less debris to deal with! Besides, I miss work, which is never a bad thing :-)

The last forecast I saw indicated temps would be in the low 80's with a chance of rain Friday

So.....dragging up an old thread. Now before LM itself, there was loads of threads about various bits and pieces - anything to know about Petit Le Mans? This is the most recent thread I can find in here! Was definitely going and now thrown slightly into doubt with the recent security measures and hand luggage restrictions etc, but be grateful for any other information anyone can throw in this direction.

Anything you may think may be useful...having never been to an American motor-racing event, nor Petits Le Mans, not sure what to expect!

We're in a hotel about 20 mins outside which has been arranged for us - forget the name of it, but it's in a vineyard I think.
