Aren't Draco in this list? (mostly when their merge with AFC to compete in the World Series by Renault next year is done.)

Only 9 teams, doesn't look very promising, but if they attract some talented drivers, than the serie could be a succes.

Organisators do not expect more than 20 cars on the grid, anyway it will be much better than the Euro3000 grid in the middle of the season only 12/14cars!
the biggest problem will be to find drivers with full budget, but that it will be also the problem of the GP2 Any news about the project of Patrick Lemarie to launch his own team in Superfund Formula? Last edited by META4; 12 Dec 2004 at 08:57. |

As P1 has pulled out of GP2 I wonder if they might be looking at Formula Superfund for 2005, especially as its supposed to be considerably cheaper than GP2. Just speculation of course, but this article does suggest to me that Formula Superfund might be on the cards for 2005. http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...d=7&nid=103548

How is Superfund supposed to be so much cheaper than GP2? Everyone repeats it as the stone gospel but they're both new and rather flashy cars

First 100 000€ prize money PER race!
Engine Rebuild will be quite cheap Any informations about testing, teams will be allowed to test whenever they want or will it be restricted tests? Any news about the Pit stops during the race, any refuelling also??? That will increase costs!!! Last edited by META4; 12 Dec 2004 at 11:12. |

I can't see P1 moving up. If they can't afford GP2, they won't be able to afford Superfund. In my opinion, P1 will do another season of F3 first.

Well, would it not be better to race the Formula Superfund with the Super- Racing- Weekend? Would it not be better to allow more than 20 cars?

It's not a case of it being better to allow more than twenty cars - they won't get the entries.
And I hardly think Renault would allow the series to be a part of their racing weekend! Superfund is just an unnecessary series, I believe. |

Funnily enough, it's the one I'm most looking forward to...
The cars look the best of all the recent new series, and it has a flair behind it already that makes the others look boring in comparision... I mean...oval races?? They should be applauded for trying something a bit different rather than just the "same old, same old" junior F1 angle.... This is the one I hope people will get behind next year.....bet they won't though, and be continued to be lured by the F1 propaganda machine and racing with them though.... |

Is there such a thing as the Super-racing weekend next year?
Renault's racing weekend is the successor to one element of it, and many of the GT and WTCC races are not together next year. |

dunno about SRW, but we have a LG/Eurosport/WTCC combo still
I thought one of the F3 championships would have been really clever to fill the abadnoned Renault slots |

Would be a good idea IMO to have Formula Superfund racing on the SRW alongside the FIA GT and WTCC championships, the Formula Renault V6's whilst were good just lacked that bit of power to make the cars really exciting for me, Formula Superfund would solve that problem and the series would benefit from being part of the SRW package, and so would FIA GT/WTCC events. Lets hope it happens one day.

I think there is a technical problem
Formula Superfund wants to use Pits and GT FIA Also !!! (Pit stops in both categories) |

Yes I agree, but surley they could work around that problem. Formula GP2 is doing so with F1 so why not Formula Superfund? With respect to the series whilst it will be a great series the FIA GT championship is bigger in terms of support and entrants.
