2025 DTM schedule:
  • April 25-27: Oschersleben
  • May 23-25: Lausitzring
  • June 6-8: Zandvoort
  • July 4-6: Norisring
  • Aug 8-10: Nürburgring
  • Aug 22-24: Sachsenring
  • Sept 12-14: Red Bull Ring

Fortunately, they've left it unchanged. As much as trying places like Salzburgring or Villa Real seem good ideas, they shouldn't replace German rounds in the calendar as recent years have clearly shown this is DTM's main market and they shouldn't abandon it. Hopefully ADAC finds a way in the future to expand the calendar and add new European venues next to the ones already existing.

I always believed that the DTM should add more rounds. Now I understand that they don't because manufacturers are involved elsewhere, especially in FIA WEC.

ADAC aims to expand the calendar - they wanted to do it for next year but teams essentially blocked it. Some even want 7 rounds as opposed to the current 8, which would be terrible for the championship of this calibre.
The sad thing is though that only few can afford DTM and unless ADAC has a good plan to change the whole financial model of the series, I'm afraid it'll either go into oblivion merging with GT Masters or will be folded altogether.

I settle for the XXL 15 minute highlight packages on Youtube here in the UK these days. They are uploaded very randomly, and they sometimes just dont bother to do them. But they give a decent snapshot of the race.

Funny how they still act like they are this mega series that deserves being hidden behind a paywall. The race format is good, the grid is ....ok. I wouldnt pay anything extra to watch the series like I do with the WEC

Good to see that, wonder if it opens the door for Dennis Olsen's DTM return now.
And also, is Mercedes going to get another team instead of HRT? Suspect Winward will stay, who could be the other one? Landgraf?

I think there's a bigger chance that Manthey won't be back than that another Porsche team joins. Having said that though, Bernhard was talking about possible return as early as next year - but of course a lot of things have to fall into place so honestly doubt we could see them in 2025.

Id imagine that Mercedes and teams might hold off for a year because the new car is supposed to be coming in 2026.
