European GP - How many laps until Montoya crashes
Alright, this is not really a serious post, but how many laps do you predict Juan Montoya will go before he retires from the European GP. I predict he'll crash on lap 12, at the end of the main straight. He'll take Trulli off with him.

SOUL SEARCHING REQUIRED HERE
I think we all need to do a little soul searching here. We have all been frustrated by the lack of results from JPM to date. However, this is not the Anti-JPM forum. This is the Unofficial Minardi Team forum. So let's not get too carried away and let our emotions get the better of our judgement and our sense of humour.
BTW, how many laps are there in the race? |

i predict JPM will actually finish the race!
I'm feelin' a little crazy tonite and think that JPM will take Frank's advice and Ralf's example and start to drive and act a little more sensibly. Hope he does anyway |

Yes, maybe I am being a little harsh.
Montoya is a fast bloke, when he matures as a driver, he'll be up there on the podium with Ralf. Good luck to him |

Good luck to you Steve. Some Ba$tard$ have all the luck. BTW in Australia, the word Ba$tard is a term of endearment.

Term of endearment, Hmmm, you do things differntly up north don't you
I have been one of JMP biggest knockers of late - but I'm not going to pass judgement on things he has'nt done and may not do. I'm only looking at what he has (or has'nt) done so far, not the future. I would love him to shut his mouth, drive brilliantly, and win me and others back on side. God knows we need another great driver on F1. |

I think the Montoya bashing has gone too far. He suffered a front left suspension failure in Canada. That was what caused him to crash, not a "rookie mistake" like many seem to conclude too hastily. He do need to shut his mouth however, and let his driving do the talking. He was well out of line in his comments to Jacques, and has been told so by Frank Williams himself.

Although he may be the biggest a#$hole of a driver I've ever come across, I think we are overreacting a bit.
While he is not a rookie to driving F1 cars, he is a rookie to handling the pressures of being an F1 driver, and racing in a World Championship. Several other drivers have had two bad races in a row. Jacques Villeneuve had a number of them at the beginning of the year. Ralf has had a bunch, and so has Montoya... |

Juan may get older, he may stay awhile in F1 but he will not mature. It was the immature ways, the recklessness, the rainforest antics and the bravado that got him the reputation and perhaps the drive. If he matures, he'll lose his edge, it's not only part of his public persona, it's the real person. Recklessness got him to F1 and recklessness will kick him out of F1. It's a case where he finally reached his level of incompetence as a driver. |
