Jenson going to Jag
I've just seen on a unofficial Jenson Button website called JensonF1.com (http://www.jensonf1.com) that Jenson is in talks with Bobby Rahal about moving to Jaguar. The (real) photo of Jenson talking with Bobby Rahal seems to confirm that a meeting had taken place over the Austrian Grand Prix weekend.
I think the photo has been leaked by a anonymous source, I can't find it anywhere else on the net. |

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm buying this either... in any case, I hope that Button stays at Renault.. more potential there, as far as I'm concerned.

NO! Jenson please don't! Please stay at Benetton! Fill a racing seat there! Don't let that ugly man Flav get his sticky hands on the amazing Trulli again! Let Trulli stay at Jordan pa-lease!
He wouldn't hear that, would he? Oh well, Fisichella and Trulli bombing the new Renault to the front of the grid would show their immense capabilities. Now then there's someone who can really wholeheartedly say that he has the strongest pair of drivers in F1. Although ... Flav and wholehearted ... |

Hate to rain on your parade guys, but do you think that if Rahal and Button had had serious talks they would have done it out in the open infront of the cameras? They would have done it behind closed doors, with only the desicion makers hanging around.

Bunsen and Eddie are two of a kind. Perhaps Bunsen works a bit cheaper, but as far as attitude and behaviour goes, why not keep Eddie and teach him to behave himself, rather than start over with a new veinal playboy?
If Jag wants to get another pilot, they can certainly find a better one than Bunsen. |

The bunsen is not that bad Liz! He does have talent on the track - just that the Renault 111 is not delivering. It is interesting to know where the bunsen will end up next year - I tip he will be with Renault.

Anyone would be well advised to stay from Renault for a few years...Fisichella is going to get sacked, Button stays, and Trulli moves in...I reckon Giancarlo is going to be out of a job next season

What you mean Fisichella the comprehensively faster of the two Benetton drivers will be sacked?
Hasn't anybody noticed that Button was so close to Ralf, and yet is being destroyed by Fisichella. Amazing what being in the wrong car does to a driver's reputation. See also Alesi and Irvine. |

whose Jenson gonna replace, Eddie has a watertight contract for next year and i can't see him giving it up as i don't think anyone else will have him (shame he's my favourite driver and a legend), and Pedro De La Rosa has a contract, though a number two Jag seat doesn't mean much, Ask Herbert and Burti

What's the evidence here? An unofficial website and a photo of two people talking (about what, the weather?)
I once spoke to Bobby Rahal. Too bad I dont have a picture, then I could be linked to a seat in F1 or, at least, CART. Drat! |

Button will be sacked well before Fisi. I can see Trulli and Fisi racing together in reborn Renault though. In fact, I'd like to see them racing together at Ferrari. Although Enzo had a prejudice against hiring Italian pilots except for Alboreto, didn't he?

But Briatore doesn't like Fisichella - he costs him too much, and Renault want a star driver when they arrive next season

Jenson should stay with Renault. Trading Flavio for Rahal doesn't seem to be a wise move by any standard. For the time being Jenson's main problem goes by the name of Giancarlo. JB won't move up teamwise until he beats Fisi.

I don't think so!
a] Button is contracted to Williams so it is their decision b] He is on a 2 year loan to Benneton c] Jaguar have confirmed these two as next years line up before Spain So I don't think that Button will be anywhere but Benneton next year! The only role at Jag would be a testing role which he wouldn't want |
