So anyone care to explain what's gone wrong with Autocon's Creation? Not ready in time?

I am of the thinking that Autocon is a full season entrant and the info on the entry form has not been changed yet so it shows up as the Lola in an autocompile when the list is generated.

But the driver lineup for Autocon seems to have changed, so I doubt that.

I would have to agree with Horndawg seeing that Autocon already had a farewell send-off party for the lola. But anything is possible.

I truly do not think there is anything amiss with Autocon. Entry deadline was the 5th https://forms.imsaracing.net/Forms/alms2.cfm and if not submitted it is a 1000.dollar penalty. The car was/is due to arrive in the beginning of May http://www.autoconmotorsports.com/ne....php?NewsID=40 (3rd para. from bottom). If they have or haven't recieved the car yet, they have not had enough time to do a proper shake down and test before the entry deadline. The Lola on the entry form is a just in case, I believe. That way they can withdraw the Lola and submit the Creation without penalty.

This should hopefully dispel any doubts about Autocons Creation. http://www.americanlemans.com/News/Article.aspx?ID=3150

Good news. They've been running Dunlop, or Goodyear?

Good to see that this is cleared up. Hopefully a Creation on better tires can show some more pace.

The Creation has seen some of its best efforts in U.S.-based events, including in its only two stateside appearances in 2006, a pole at Petit Le Mans and a podium finish at the season-ending Monterey Sports Car Championship last October. Dunlop will continue as the team’s tire of choice.

Creation will be providing a kit to move it from the hybrid to a full P1 spec., either later this year or certainly by the start of next season. The opportunity to have a car updated that quickly was a strong factor.”

yes this should be interesting considering in LMS LMP1 Dunlop dont seem to me to be to much different to the Michelins if you look at Rollcenter v Pesca

Driver line-up changes. Eric Helary will replace Tracy Krohn in car #61 and the 2nd driver for car #22 will be Bryan Sellers.

They still wont be able to challenge Audi. I see it as Audi 1-2, Autocon, Intersport.

Strange to see Helary in the Risi/Krohn 430 , as he is contracted to Peugeot I thought ?

Wonder how he will do in a GT2 car . Did he ever drive a GT2 car before ?

Helary has not driven the 908 this year. That is why Peugeot gave him permission to find another race seat this year.

The week also brought the news that White Lightning Racing and Corsa Motorsports, which teamed at the Sebring to field a Ferrari F430 GT, will no longer being entering the No. 32 together. A difference in approach and philosophy is the reason for the separation. White Lightning Racing continues to assist Corsa Motorsports in its transition to a fully independent team.
