Daytona 24 Hours this weekend!
Well, nobody else started it so here we go! I am getting that excited feeling, race car buzz! I may like the ALMS better, but I am just a few days away and a 50 minute drive from Daytona and this year's 24 Hours.
I would like to see Racer's Group pull it off again, great story after their baptism by fire problems. Being realistic, I think there is enough development and some cars have a wealth of driver talent to put one of the DP's on top at the end. But I will go sentimental and say it will be the Gunnar Fabcar Porsche with Paul Newman doing some stints. I look to the remaining places to be Porsche GT3's, a GT3 Cup car in top five, probably Doncaster, and two other DP's in the top ten. Never bet against a Porsche anywhere, especially Daytona! |

I think I'm most anxious to see how the new cars do in their first race, the Crawfords, Rileys, Maseratis, and PTG BMWs. Hmm, might include the new model Fabcar in that list too. How they all do could give the first glimpse of where the season is headed.

race season- is on woohoo-
Daytona is always exciting-24 hours starting saturday woohoo!! Paul Newman is racing - yes! Did you see their car>?!! it is a black Porsche Fabcar and it is covered in flames! that is nice- breathing life into DP's is a great idea this way- have i come around on them?? not entirely- but mostly. the roofs are too flat still, but nice job! |

Ummm..don't know how to work this crazy thing, so no link.
For a bet, my money's on #27. They've won it before twice, and one of many cars with great drivers. I'm pulling for #09. I would just love to see three Crawfords sweep the podium, ya know what I mean? GT, Buckler, Burgmeister, Bernhard. I'm thinking threpeat, but they've got to wear down Risi and PTG. Great three way battle each with good drivers and and a differant brand. |

well are racer's groupd going to make it with all 3 cars?
they may be a threat- the new rules i feel will let the Fabcar Porsche take it to the front, hassled by the ganassi entry- and the Doran Lista 'lexus'- those should be the class of the show. now if they break... a ferrari will win. |

I've been in some contact with Eurosport and they said they will show a one hour review from Daytona on February 22 at 23:00.

The BE Racing Ferrari Modena is a beautiful car! The Racer's Group has earned a Flame Paint job too! |

Hey, thebear, so you are going to be in climate controlled environment, out of sun, heat, cold, rain, dust, mud? Gee, you aren't going to have any fun at all then!
