Formula 3 and GT's - Oulton July 17th & 18th

Down for this one - should be better than last year as the BRSCC are badging it!

Anyone seen a timetable for this yet, mas I've heard a rumour that we will be allowed to start at 10am on Sunday instead of midday!

What's on the support list?

According to info I have recd..BRSCC are running the meeting
interms of staffing ete etc...but they are having to work to
a timetable imposed by the promoters. BRSCC are not responsible for the time table.

Thanks for the timetable Mark. As suspected it will be no
different to last time. They have planned for lunchbreak
12.35 with first race 13.15 which means back on post 1300.
ie: a planned lunchbreak of 25 minutes. If we get through that morning schedule wihout losing 25 minutes I'll plait
fog.!!!

Well I'm prepared to give our Local BRSCC Centre the chance to prove themselves better than last years organisers!

If, after the event I feel that it was no better then I'd have to think seriously about volunteering again next time.

However, Tom Dooley virtually promised (Back in March) that there would not be a repeat of last years performance.

The worrying thing is that I doubt Tom will be there, as he's not been very well!

I think that the BRSCC NW will look after us over the course of the weekend.

Mark,
I wasnt implying any criticism of BRSCC in my last posting.
Like you the only reason I have volunteered this year is to support the BRSCC...my worry is simply that even the BRSCC
will struggle with the timetable that has been imposed on them.

Personally, I'm not too bothered about lunch breaks etc, but I know that it's nice to get a chance to look round the paddock and look at the totty......er, I mean cars!

I think it's reasonably safe to assumne that any sort of stand down off post on Saturday is not going to happen - if the timetable is ratified.

Those marshals, like yourself, who know what sort of hurdles the NW centre might be up against, have some sympathy and will simply "Get On With It" - others will do the same but then moan like anything on here, first thing on Monday morning.

I know you weren't dissing the BRSCC Gordon and I think that the regular Oulton Marshals are in support of this meeting and of the NW Centre's involvement.

Having received the final(?) timeteble, I 've got a simple solution!

The first session after lunch is now F3 qualifying. So, scrub that session & we get an extra half hour for lunch.....and there's a bonus: if they don't qualify, they can't race, which means one boring race we don't have to suffer on Sunday!
