ClaireH should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Quick Hello!

Hi all,

Just wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself. If you haven't guessed from the username, my name is Claire.

I've recently started marshalling at Snetterton, having been recruited by Mr Scannell, and have done a couple of meets now - the 750 Motor Club back in September and the CSCC one the weekend just gone so I may have met a few of you already.

So far I've really enjoyed it and am really looking forward to next season and whatever meets I can make of the end of this year's season.

Shall hopefully meet more of you at future meetings!

Claire

No point me starting a new thread to say similar

I'm also new to marshalling, got dragged along by claire. Although i love all motorsport, and have really enjoyed marshalling at the 2 event's i've been at. Both being at Snetterton which isn't my closest circuit as i'm based in northampton

Anyways as you may have guessed my name's Alex, I've met a few of the snetterton guys whilst marshalling and would like to thank them for the warm welcome.

Looking forward to doing as many events as i can next season now as well

Welcome Claire and Alex.

I hope you will enjoy marshalling as much as I have over the past, um, many years. If you ever get the chance, please make yourselves known to us on the left side of the big pond and we will be happy to put you on the banks at the racetracks here in the US and Canada too.

Hello and welcome, to you both.

We've already met at Snetterton on Saturday on the post at Russell. I'm the one you had to keep awake (worked Friday night). Hope to see you at Snett or some other circuits next year.

P.S. Who's this Mr Scannell you wrote about?

Coming from Northampton Alex I am supprised you aren't on the list for the Birkett at Silverstone this weekend. Maybe the Astra can't go that far!

Welcome Claire & Alex,
I'm sure you'll have fun. Just make sure Terry doesn't rope you into too many debriefing sessions! They can go on a bit
Hope to see more of Terry and the crew next year, with, hopefully, a new circuit layout.
Look out for the Snett training day early next year and I'll see you there.

Welcome to you both.

There have been a few posts on help for new marshalls.

http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103207
http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107092

That's it now you'll be on tenths constantly and waiting for your next outing on the bank. Good luck and enjoy yourselves.
Definately recommend training day early next year.

Regards
Dave

Well, seeing as your only in Essex, why not come up to Snetterton on 25th Jan for their training day, you'd be more than welcome!

That would be Peter Rodwell, BRSCC EA chief marshal. I think he's email is down at the moment. PM me you details and I'll give them to him next weekend.

[QUOTE=dont these employers understand........[/QUOTE]

Oh Yes some do! That's why Claire and Alex are now with us - it's great having a member of staff to chat about racing with!! and only been at the company for approx four weeks and two recruits and looks like another one for the 1st/2nd Nov MSVR Snet confirmed today!! What better place could there be to hold staff meetings!!!

Anyway welcome to Claire and Alex, great to have you both on the team at the 750MC and CSCC Snet meetings and being so enthusiastic and hands on with dealing so well with the various incidents that were thrown at you and we look forward to seeing you at future meetings.

Andrew - well nice to see at least someone shows me some respect - but I'm sure Claire will soon learn!

Nick - Yes for various reasons - mostly my side - we haven't seen much of each other this year but hopefully next year we'll be at more meetings and we can continue the essential de-briefs!!

Terry
