2013 CRC Speedshow

Anyone else here going? I'm there both days with my camera. It should be great - the 'Legends' section has come up fabulous.

A few of my pics from today. The organisers requested photographer's not post 'full' albums of images from the venue on the friday, so my album's been bolstered with pretty colours.

Went this morning... First exhibition/show I've been to in a long time that didn't feel like it was primarily filled with stall holders who'd paid mega for the opportunity to sell stuff... amongst the retail stalls there appeared to be a fair amount of stuff that was there to look at....

Also good to see plenty of NZV8's and V8ST's on various stalls as well as the dedicated stalls themselves....

All in all, really good show.... now wouldn't it be cool to combine that sort of day out, at a track with some NZV8/V8ST racing....

I did get some shots but then my sd card packed a sad and I lost all my pics. Looked lovely though and so it should for 1.8mill. Apparently another one is heading to nz in the next few weeks.
still tho my fave car was the lotus mk1 escort. Bit different from an enzo I admit bit georgous all the same

I had a cool weekend personally. It was a great, well-run event all-up. The only issue had to be the premature end to the drifting demonstrations on Sunday thanks to the complaints of those living near the venue (plus the fact that the cars did break the noise and smoke rules anyway). For me the stand-out event was the Saturday karting race. It was awesome to see SVG vs. Murphy vs. Pickens vs. Smith vs. Baird and so on, then see the lot of them beaten by Mr. Bargwanna. For the record, Bargs was watching the karting almost all Sunday prior to his race. He came out and stood with the photographers at one stage just to watch the different racing lines and study the course. I thought it was really cool to see himself and others take the event quite seriously.

Yep. But I'm glad the organisers persevere with it as it's one of the stand-outs of the whole weekend - at least in my opinion.
