Nittymaki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Euro Rallycross Superprix

Lets start again shall we......

Great to see an superb end of season event is planned at Croft in November great to hear loads of Europeans are entering.

New format looks superb and should revolutionise rallycross.

Entries restricted to 20 cars........ lets see how that goes down I already have learnt that they have 12 entries in supernational...!! only 8 to go before it closes...

any thoughts??

The format certainly looks interesting, not so sure it'll 'revolutionise rallycross' but it might work well for these one off events.

Whilst I'll admit to becoming cynical about annoucements regarding European participation I actually do believe it'll happen for this event - past experience shows that the Europeans do show up for end of season events (particularly the Norwegians with the sideways Volvos ).

If there's a full entry in each class it should be a good event, any of the ten-tenths drivers planning on taking part?

Roundy Mooney should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have to say I like the Idea of "it's a knockout".
Making the Structure different to the normal Brda formatt gives the RSS events their own identity could ditinguish the two series. A bit like the League and Cup in Football, same game, different formats that are exciting in their own way, but still exsist side by side.

Sounds a bit like the knockout format that they use in the end of season doos at Silverstone and in the Canaries where you have the rally boys and a selection of invited top drivers from other discilpines in a head to head on adjoining courses which overlap. Terrible description but trust you know what I mean.

Hopefully I'll be entering in my Mini, but it depends on this weekend. I'll decide when we come back.

I've already blown my engine on the rolling road this week and I've borrowed an engine, now the clutch doesn't work. We're meant to be on the ferry tonight !!

I am please to let you know the sideways Volvo's will be in good support of this event as the organisers already have 9 Norweigan entries for SuperNational, 7 Volvo's, 1 BMW and 1 Porsche 911. Brit's out there you have better get your entires in as classes restricted to ONLY 20 cars, this will soon fill up.
I also know entries in other classes are coming in including division 1.

Entries recieved so far to be posted on website www.rallycrosssuperprix.co.uk
in next couple of days.

Watch out!!

I can't believe that they will only let 20 SuperNationals compete if they have say 30 or 40 that enter. I think they will make space for every-one.

I have also found out that the entry is quite expensive, proberbly due to the free entry's given to the foriegn drivers. If the organisers want foriegn drivers to compete, surely they should fund their free entry, not the British drivers.

I'm not too keen on the idea that the third lap of practice is timed and this determins your grid position for the first race. It's a bit unfair on some-one who hasn't driven the track before. Why not have reverse grids for the first two races, and then revert to the knock out system.

Providing the supercar entry is good it should be a good meeting.

But the organisers get there income from the entry fees dont they ? So the drivers pay for for it either way.

The RSS organisers are doing great things for the sport in there first year, it should be aplauded what they have achieved in a short space of time.

Something from Scandanavia

He was being very evasive last weekend and wouldn't reveal its identity.

It has nothing to do with Croft. But I could not find a proper thread to post it. Ingvar Gunnarsson is currently building 2 new Ford’s for Sverre Isachsen. I wonder who will drive the second car???

I thought his previous Focus' were mostly Julian's prepared (both chassis and engine). Does this also mean a change to a Trollspeed engine?
