Can Carl Edwards win two series?

Can Carl Edwards win both the Busch and Nextel series?

If you meant the race then he clearly was among the favorites entering Michigan. Roush is unbelievable at the 2 mile Penske tracks. In the last Michigan race all five Roush cars finished in the top 10. The same would have happened today if Kurt Busch did not make a bad call and stay out on old tires at the end. All of Roush's cars were top 7 cars today, in terms of speed. I wonder how many drivers in the field could run well at Michigan or Californa in a Roush car...

If you are talking about winning both championships, though, I highly doubt that he can win the cup championship. No rookie has ever won a cup championship and only one had a real chance of winning during the final races and even that was because all the front-runners had an unusually great amount of bad luck that year and the rookie (Johnson in 2002) did not. It will be very difficult for him to beat Kurt Busch, Biffle, and Martin. He drives for arguably the best team in the series and is very talented. He should be a lock to make the Chase for the Championship but 4th or 5th is probably the best he can do this year, IMO. Next year he will be a true threat for the championship, though, IMO.

It is just very difficult for a rookie to win a championship in any top racing series. Next year he will be a major threat for the title IMO.

Based on his season so far, he could do it.
