Are you sure? BMW have made it clear they will only enter series which run on an international scale such as ALMS and F1 , and possibly the DTM soon as that is now on an international scale. I would like to see the Beamer back in the BTCC as it would make good viewing and I like the 3 series. Lets hope the rumours are true!

It's not a rumour. Sodemo asked if anyone thought BMW should return to the BTCC. There's never been any suggestion that they were even considering it.

I think it's pretty unlikey- they seem too interested in F1 & the ALMS M3 programme- the only interest they seem to be expressing in touring cars currently seems to be in Super Production- still, you never know, maybe BMW GB may want to do something independent of Germany- they have in the past

Okay then. My mistake. I hope that BMW Uk do enter the BTCC soon. Maybe it would be more likely if they ETCC cahnged to the BTCC rules.

Since we're speculating here, wouldn't it be interesting to see the new C-Class coupe in the BTCC? But with the CLK already racing in the DTM, the C-Class idea is pure fantasy.

Although I agree it would be nice to see a C-class in the BTCC , wouldn't it be better to see a totally different manufacture in the series , such as VW or SEAT or Skoda instead?

I kinda agee. I wish that rumored Korean manufacturer who was rumored to be interested in the BTCC would step forward. Didn't someone say it was Kia? Though Hyundai is more likely? |
