So are Bruni, Zangarelli, Nadin and Piccolo confirmed at their respective teams? I have a silly season page - http://uk.geocities.com/unofficialf3..._euro3000.html - but it's in need of a few updates (no Charouz ISR etc.) and most drivers I have linked to teams are only there because they tested for those teams. Cheers.

Cheers Stranger , I was yet to check italiaracing.net today. The Piccolo article states that Traini were looking at Piccolo, but he was also in negotiations with Euronova (at least if my translation is correct). So by default (now Traini have 2 confirmed drivers) it looks like he'll go to Euronova, but I don't think it's confirmed.

The last I heard about Zangarelli and Nadin, they were "likely" to race for Energy Racing according to Autosport (January), but of course they may well be confirmed for all I know...

Hi to all! news from Italiaracing: now we reached by phone mr. Melchioretto, team manager of team ADM, and he told us that Bruni is not yet signed... so we deleted the news, and he will tell us more about the situation

only about marcel costa. if a week ago it appears that could be a close deal with ginzhani, just now it's so far... definitely appears that costa es finding support for a place in BCN 3000 international entry.

Great for the series to have Bruni back

BTW, I guess Nadin isn't confirmed at Energy Racing, as he is to test for FIA F3000 team BCN:

"BCN Competición, the new Barcelona based F-3000 team will be preset in the first collective tests of the season at Imola, on february 20 and 21th with the following drivers, Angel Burgueño, Marcel Costa, from Spain, Kevin Nadin, france and Rodrigo Sperafico, Brasil.

Orlando Rios
Sports Director
BCN Competición"

Giebler didn't race in the actual series, but he did test for EuroNova at Vallelunga (in the promotional ESTA organised test in November), and afterwards at Nice - see link:
http://www.racingpress.com/publish/p...er121902.shtml

Then he took part in the Bologna Motorshow sprint event for the same team in December - http://uk.geocities.com/unofficialf3...bologna02.html

And he tested a Red Bull Junior F3000 car in the Red Bull F1 Driver Search tests in October at Paul Ricard.

Sorry, my apologies - I misread your post (I thought you said 2002)...

I personally haven't heard anything about Giebler since last year. Anyone know?

Morcilman >>> I think you mean Joel Nelson, he's part of the Red Bull Driver Seach finalists (Giebler took part in the test but wasn't chosen) and has signed for John Village Automotive.

Kevin Nadin will definitely not race for Energy Racing - yesterday I had an email from the team asking me to remove him from my "silly season" page as a possible driver.

Coloni are not a Renault Jr team, although someone wrongly claimed they were at this forum...

Errr, which team then is Renault- Team? Or other question: Is there a renault- junior- team in F3000? Arden has been rumoured to be, but... Very strange...

Renault don't need a junior team any more - they have their own Junior series (Renault V6) now.

And they have their own team in the TWS: Gabord, with Kovalainen and Montagny.

Arden were rumoured to be close to a deal with Renault, back when Heikki Kovalainen was testing for them, but nothing came of it and Kovalainen was placed by Ren. in TWS instead. I *believe* the Arden rumours were just that, rumours, and seem to remember Christian Horner denying there were ever any talks recently.
