Help with names at the 2023 Goodwood Revival

During most of the two-driver races there were changes to the driver lineup. As I have the results from tsl-timing.com, I only have last names for added drivers and it is these names I'm looking for - marked out in fat types.

Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy:
#3 – a late entry for Ashby/Stokes
#29 – David Woolsey/McLean
#53 – Richard Dawson/Burrell
#63 – Angela Cragg/Child
#74 – Jamie O'Brien/Lee
#75 – John Leigh Pemberton/Costello

Fordwater Trophy:
#23 – Adam Smalley/Chilton (Tom Chilton?)

Freddie March Memorial Trophy:
#82 – Alasdair McCaig/Reading

Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration:
#12 – Ludovic Caron/Smith
#46 – Michael Whitaker/Greensall (Nigel Greensall?)

Rudge-Whitworth Cup:
#2 – late entry for Lunn/Birch (Michael Birch?)
#5 Martin Overington/Davison
#7 Ben Collings/Graham
#9 Patrick Blakeney-Edwards/Hunt
#27 Jim Clarke/Bramhall
#30 Adam Jones/Hunt for practice only, perhaps the same Hunt that raced #9?
#99 late entry for Getley/Getley

Good races overall with less red and yellow flags than what I remember from past events, but generally slow recovery of stranded cars.

In the Ridge Whitworth Cup, Patrick Blakeney-Edwards regularly shares with Martin Hunt.

So does the entry list suggest and first qualifying too, but for the second qualifying and the race it's changed to Caron/Smith!?

For a general fast track to my source: https://www.tsl-timing.com/event/233665

Very helpfull responces already, so thank you a lot.

Already a big thank you for your contributions.

Regarding the #12 Shelby Cobra entry, it's entered with the driving team of Ludovic Caron/Derek Hill. First practice says Caron/Hill, but changes to Caron/Smith for second practice and the race!?

The other car you mention, the Jones/Hunt Vauxhall 30/98 OE ran as number 52 not 30. In qualifying it was driven by Adam Jones and Theo Hunt but in the race only Jones drove. Number 30 was the Raphael Gnininvi/Hubert Andeol, Chenard et Walker Sport T3 of 1924 which practised and raced.

Thank you for the correction. Somehow I do have the Jones and practicing Hunt Vauxhall as #52 in my notes, but typed #30!

Regarding the "TT Celebration Smith" being one of more Andrew Smith, it is at least a bit more of an identification.

A big thank you GCCheddaris on behalf of myself and future historians.

To hopefully add a little more depth to this for you - it is the regular Goodwood competitor Andrew Smith I've linked his DriverDB page. I think he's raced at least once in every Revival since the late-2000s and every Member's Meeting since 2014, nearly always in sportscars.

According to my own personal records, he has won 3 races at the Revival - the 2010 Whitsun Trophy in a Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder, the 2019 Kinrara Trophy sharing a Ferrari 250 GTO with Gary Pearson (my understanding is that this is the "evocation" car that has appeared a few times at Goodwood and caught fire this year, and is a copy of Carlos Monteverde's Ferrari 250 GTO chassis no. 3851 GT), and the 2022 RAC TT Celebration sharing an AC Cobra with Gordon Shedden. He's also a 3x winner at the Member's Meeting (sharing JD Classics' Rover 3500 SD1 in the 2014 Gerry Marshall Trophy with Chris Ward, sharing a Ford GT40 with James Cottingham in the 2021 Gurney Cup, and on his own in a Lister-Chevrolet 'Knobbly' in the 2014 Salvadori Cup).

For those who like to update their programmes after a meeting (yep that's me !) virtually every race result, qualifying time etc appears online. Timing Solutions Ltd provide the timing for most meetings in this country apart from the 750 Motor Club, the VSCC and some Scottish and northern meetings. To access the results from the Goodwood Revival go to https://www.tsl-timing.com/event/233665 and go to the relevant races pdf file to view the results you want to see. The drivers full names can be found at the bottom of the qualifying and race sector analysis boxes.

As someone who also likes to keep fairly detailed records - in the interests of completeness: the 750MC keep their results on their own website; the VSCC's are available at
https://www.theresultslive.co.uk/vin...orts-car-club; and Knockhill's (and some other Northern events) are at http://www.smart-timing.co.uk/.

What has this Andrew Smith raced away from Goodwood to give us a better idea of which Andrew Smith he is ?

Ah, thank you for the tip about full names or at least full racing names. This is found in the full pdf-file for every class at the Revival.

Outside Goodwood includes the Spa Classic, 2L Cup for 911s etc. Afaik he's the only major British competitor with that name.

Sorry I missed the link in your previous post. I thought there was at least two. Either that or he is an extremely prolific driver as I have seen an Andrew Smith racing a March 783, a 79B and a Marcos in recent years.

The Goodwood competitor is definitely the guy I linked to.

Apologies for my forgetfulness, there must be another one. I'd completely forgotten the single seater racer, who I think has raced as "Andy" Smith - I think he raced a BMW-engined March 782 at the Silverstone Festival this year.

The Goodwood competitor has raced with James Cottingham, GT40 Scuderia Bear colours.
Also at Spa six hours in main race, and support races such as U2TC with John Clark in BMW1800.

I remember seeing a different Andrew Smith racing a Marcos.

To complicate matters there is another, usually referred to as Andy Smith, who has raced a Morgan +8 at Knockhill and in the Morgan Challenge.
