Cheese [iV8SC14R202122] Castrol Townsville 500, driven by TAFE-4-6 Jul
Townsville is the next race on the V8SC calender, in only 2 weeks time.

After the 5 week midseason break for the failed Texas round, a short stop will be something new.

What has me thinking however is just why the V8SC mob were promoting the junk out of it across the whole Darwin weekend's telecast, and indeed on the official website, there is an annoying popup for tickets to that event.

It means that this event has sold no tickets, or there will be so many people showing up they will run out of beer

Meantime back on the race track... can FPR go another round without shooting the crew or driver of #5 in the foot... can Mr Winterbottom extend his championship lead?

For all of 888's hype & hyperbole about their new suspension, their cars were found wanting to some extent on the longer Sunday race

Will BJR find its form again? Will Tekno step up? Will Nissan find some money to fix their engines? Will Erebus have Dogecoin onboard?

Too many questions, and only a few weeks to find the answers....

Will Volvo come to the party, or will Dahlgren linger at the back of the pack again?

My biggest question is how long will Volvo give him to find form? An entire season, two? And if Scot Mclaughlan wasn't as good as he is, and if a more mediocre driver was fumbling around midfield, I wonder what that would mean for Volvo.

EL GT should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I hope this an all Hard tyre round as I see its 125,125,250 km races as opposed to 100,100 and 200 at Darwin an the teams only have one extra set of tyres. Lets hope it's not 2 boring races on Sat and a hum dinger on Sunday

its just my observation but a lot of media talk about D Reynolds being a likely winner this weekend (mostly because we want a new winner for the season)

Mark D Reynolds down as a provisional winner (based on the series being scripted)
