Over used phrases.
Watching the pre-race build up on ITV today and the bit with Ralph Firman and Martin Brundle being taken out in a plane. After they had got out of the swimming pool (the training bit), the first thing Ralph said was "Looking forward to tomorrow". HE SAYS THIS ALL THE TIME!!! It is infuriating!!!
"How do you feel about qualifying 4th Ralph?" "Well, I'm looking forward to tomorrow." "Only 20th today Ralph, what was the problem?" "Well, I'm looking forward to tomorrow." "Ralph, it's a new track to you, but you've done all the simulations and everything. What's your view on the track?" "Well, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. It's wonderful to be here and I'm looking forward to tomorow. We'll see how it goes tomorrow, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. And tomorrow I'll be looking forward to the next tomorrow.":banghead SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! You say this more times than Schuey says "to be honest" and Fisi says "I'm very 'appy". SHUT UP! RRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! SHUT UP! |

having a bad day knowsley?
It is better than hearing "the who cares what brand-Chevy/Pontiac/Ford-is really good today the team did so much and gave me a great car" in NASCAR it is much worse, but i am looking forward to tomorrow |

i hate the often said "for-sure" EVERYONE on the grid says it ALL the time:
"Do you think you can win the race?" "well, yeah, for sure we can win the race - i mean, for sure, it looks like it will be dry for sure" that really ticks me off... |

or james allen's 'what a fantastic race' ..... 'its really going to be exciting when we reach the pit stops'
no it wasnt ......... no its not, there was no overtaking, nothing happened ........ it was not bloody exciting, and certainly not schumachers greatest win. |

Yep, for sure "for sure" is the most over used phrase. It has for sure been used in F1 for years now. For sure it has been used by drivers of all nationalities. Where did it come from?

"honestly" seems to be pretty common, and JPM seems to say "ERM"(i.e. erm, the car did pretty good. erm, the card did pretty well. ect.) everytime he gets interviewed.

It has to be "He's the next Senna". Now that is overused way to many times. Jan Magnussen ring a bell?

The main thing that annoys me is the start James Allen does. Sounds too similar to what Murray used to do but it sounded exciting and a million times better from Murray.

Interviews are rubbish, no one ever says what they think because it would be controversial. They all speak in soundbites that can be easily reproduced. Bring back Eddie.
As for the questions that are asked - they are even worse. the most entertaining bit is when Michael answers the questions in the after race conference. He regularly looks amused at the questions the interviewer asks. Brundle is pretty good - he even handled that Osbourne moron on the grid - "I'll try to think of an answer to that question" |

Interesting fact #46: That's the 2nd race in a row where someone on Martin's gridwalk has said sh*t.

JPM's "you know", does get a bit tiresome.
"Yeah, it was a good race, had some problems after the pit stops, but you know, s%&t happens" - typical JPM statement. |

Ralf Schumacher was pretty funny in the interview after the race. It amased me I did not think that these German guys have a sense of humor. Of course I am pretty sure their press guy told them what to say.
the question was about the lack of front tire change. His answer: Well I felt in love with them :-))). He also tried to sit in the middle for some reason. Made quite a laugh. |

I don't really have a problem with phrases that the drivers say, but I would like to point out one thing...............Kimi does nothing, but mumble!!!
Half the time I can never make out what he is saying. I would just like to ask him to speak up!!! And he never seems pleased, or unhappy............or any emotions what so ever |
