Great News For European 'Vette Fans
A Corvette C5R has been entered for the excellent Belcar series - DSC's Belgian 'mole' has blagged a rather natty artists impression of the car, a pucka Pratt & Miller C5R.

I just read that item on DSC and it's good to see what i hope is the beginning of at least a few customer C5Rs. I agree that the rendering of the car is rather fetching. It certainly will add a bit of spice to the potpourri of Belcar. Now let's see some customer cars in the ALMS!!

Why doesn't Chevrolet homologate the 'Vette for the FIA GT series? I'd love to see a couple of cars in there with the Listers, Ferraris, Saleens and Vipers.

Yeah that would be good, and I belive although Im not sure that the restrictors for the GTS ALMS class is the same as the FIA GT, GT class. So they woudnt be down on power like they are in Belcar and British GT.

But if Saleen can produce 25 S7-Rs, surely the might of GM can produce 25 'Vettes. I thought they were keen on selling customer cars.

Not a chance that Corvette will ever sell 25 C5-R's. The car is just too long in the tooth. The time to sell cars was two years ago.
