The Dukeries Rally

Sherwood Forest in June, what could go wrong?
A friendly welcome from the Stage Commander, a programme, a badge and other goodies the day very started well.

Just got set up on a cracking 90 right corner on Stage 3, when all hell broke out, thunder, lightening and torrential rain, wow it doesn't get much scarier, all it needed was Zombies coming out of the woods and I'd of been off.

Eventually it all calmed down and there were my beloved Escorts doing what they do best - sideways.

We stayed in the same place for Stage 8 and got more thunder, more rain and more Escorts, what a cracking day.

Definitely be doing this one again.

Always a good day at the dukeries - SS3/8 recovery it was this year, rather than rescue. Plenty to keep us busy and to me wet and muddy!

Stage cut up badly in parts by the end of 8 but that can't be helped with the weather we had!

Unfortunately, it looks like it was the last Dukeries in it's current format.

Another event lost due in part to the increase in the use of forests by other users.
