The 360 Six Hour - 16th August 2014 Snetterton Race Circuit
Hi all
So just to confirm, the fifth running of the 360 returns to its home Snetterton and with a bigger entry than ever. 6 hours of great racing, from a Triumph GT6 through to a clio cup car, Jag Mk 1, Aston, MX5, M3's 911's, Boxster and Audi grace the grid for the first time. (Versprung Derch Van Dyke) as we say in Essex! The voice of Le Mans Hindy and the RLM team get split in two this year to go head to head for charity in seperate cars ....a charity that is very close to us all....more on that to follow but they will be of course broadcasting the event around the world and at the circuit. In our bid to help more into Motorsport we see Brooklands College having two entries with 360 and Riseden Properties joining forces to help students get near the action... Also, with the GT40 Owners club in attendance and parading round plus some other clubs the paddock is gonna be a great place to see some nice cars (and not a VW Polo in sight!!) The Fat Clerk will be in the Ivory Tower, Mr Smith will be in the Stewards room and I will be running round like a headless Chicken. Ten Tenths very own Evil Pumpkin and MagnetON will be with us as always....this is very much Ten Tenths race Roger WIlliams drops the national flag for the start of the REAL WILLHIRE REWIRE, marking 20 year since that great race was last run....and at least we are doin this at THE REAL HOME OF THE WILLHIRE! Peter Rodwell is back at the helm as the 360 Chief Marshal and will be dishing out the tickets etc, if you want to volunteer for this we would very very very much like to welcome you along so either get in touch with Peter or volunteer on Julians website...or drop a mail to Marshals@360mrc.com Each year its got bigger ...this years the biggest yet.. C'MON ALL...what ya waiting for !!!! Thanks Claire |

The BBQ
Just to confirm, theres four weeks to The 360. On the Friday night there is a BBQ for The Marshals, Officials and Drivers of the 360. Its in aid of Cancer Research UK. We all know someone who has been effected by cancer, indeed some of our friends in orange have had to endure this horrible illness and we have lost friends because of it. So, that said this month Cancer Research UK launched its "BBQ to Beat Cancer" campaign and so we and those nice people who supply this lovely forum of ours thought 'HEY thats a great idea to support' and so that is what this BBQ is also about. It is a thank you to you guys but its also to raise money for a cause that really is very close to our hearts
You can make a donation to the JustGiving page that has been set up for the BBQ HERE or for the Radio Le Mans car thats is in support of that charity HERE If you haven't volunteered for the 360 yet but want to, either go to Jullains web site or send us an e mail to marshals@360mrc.com. Peter Rodwell is the CM and will be grateful for your support as indeed we all will BBQ kicks off at 8 and you are welcome to join us Thanks all |

Ten-Tenths will be well represented at this event, both myself and EvilP will be over (as always) and I also believe that EvilP is signed up to go out in orange again for this meeting. Just please don't post her to Bomb Hole again, I've got to put up with her childish/toilet humour at her pronunciation.
We will also have event specific embroidered patches featuring both the Ten-Tenths and 360MRC logo. We'll also have some of the brand new, never before issued (well OK, I've one on my marshalling hat!) pin badges. This is pretty much an "official" Ten-Tenths event, so if you can, show your support and join us! |

To be fair, the corner was originally informally known within the bike racing fraternity as the Bum Hole. As the name become more widely used, the decision was taken to formally name the corner the more politically correct 'Bomb Hole'

That was named after a bomb exploded in the 1940's
