Speculation
As said in another thread the 2 extra Monaro franchises have been sold for NC next year.
Taking into account all the rumours surrounding Anthony Tratt and Paul Little leaving V8's and supposidly sold the L2 franchise to FPR ? could they have decided to run Toll Ipec Monaro's next year ? As said in the thread purely speculation ! |

The interesting thing for me was that the previously Toll-liveried Lambo was in Clarion colours at Indy... so that suggests its not a Lambo
Noise I had was suggesting that the Toll boys were looking at a 911 program, with possibly 2 cars.... |

Could this be the home of the 3rd & 4th Monaro licences?
The Team Brock you have when not having a Team Brock? |

A Team Brock that works?
A Team Brock actually run by Brock? |

Well if its a Toll project, PLR and Mr Tratt would still be the owners....

Holden has never been hot on Brock actually owning a team.
And my goss is that they've told him so.... I think that many at the bend are still a little nervous about Brock lending more than just his name to a V8 team. He's great as a corporate spokesman and they don't mind him dabbling around the edges (like Targa or the Monaros), but I don't think they want him in the main game too deep.... For a number of reasons.... Last edited by Dave HRT Moy; 3 Nov 2003 at 01:44. |

These are my thought as well. And to think that Team Brock was always evisaged by PB and Harrop as a means of getting young Jamie, I mean Brock MacIntosh (if IIRC?) into the main game. Jamie was never quick enough to get a permanent gig in V8Supercars, PB went ahead anyway with Brock merchandise funding most of it, to the obvious annoyance of HRT who bought it all in-house and gave Kees the keys ... (pardon the pun ) Which just about brings us up to date. |

If you look at Jamie there is a more than bearing resemblance to PB, and therefore not much Macintosh...so the illegitimacy gag may not be as funny as you perhaps thought! Team Brock merchandise from 2002 didn't seem to filter back into the team as it were...but apparently back into one of the team owner's 'transporter'. |

So if Ronnie Harrop is the key to the future of Team Brock, its entirely possible that the 2 additional Monaros, if they are indeed for TB, could be built independently of GRM, especially since most of the sexy hardware under the skin of the 427ci thumpers are masterpieces from that factory.
Having said that, watching the Monaros at Indy, there is some incredible scope for a driver who can set cars up properly, and develop them strongly, to stop the rear end skip that the Monaros seem to have when pushed beyond what PB likes to call "24hr pace" |

I dont think the parentage of B.McIntosh/J.Brock makes any difference to whether Tratty is running a Monaro, Porsche or Lambo in Nations Cup next year....

Nor do I, and furthermore I don't see why some people feel compelled to bring it up at any given opportunity...

The fact remains James Brock remains unproven, he won the Future Tourers thing at Bathurst behind a safety car, and in front of that petrol bloke that was fined all those millions (and other companies in the group have recently imploded, presumably to pay the fine) but the BRUtes experience doesnt seem to be a positive one.

I am not arguing with that at all... well maybe the polarizer bit
If there is a genetic link, it hasnt improved James Brock's perfomances, if there isnt, it may help explain why... |

Let's just call him Brock Brock, who has shown some very good pieces of form in the BRutes, on his weekend, like at QR, he was unbeatable. How would he go in a decent Konica car??

Yes Crash Test, JB has performed very well in several of the Brute races; and based on those performances, it would be likely he would go rather well in a decent Konica car.
But what's that got to do with genetic engineering? |
