Peugeot's BTCC plans after Burns's departure
Strange title at first sight but may I remind everybody that one of the claimed reasons for Peugeot's departure from the BTCC was their shift of focus in marketing when RB signet for their WRC team.
Now that RB is out of Peugeot do you think they will be a chance of greater support for VLR's 307s? |

Maybe, you never know, though I wouldn't count on it. They seem pretty more heavily involved in rallying in the UK at all levels nowadays, although I don't see how that gives them more promotion than the BTCC.

That s what they said at the time. Because of RB they would shift their budget towards UK rallying.
We all know that national rallying is struggling, I cann't imagine why they would stay there |

Did anyone really believe that was the reason for them pulling out...
Though the 307 is going ok, maybe that may tempt them to help out. |

They've still got their 206 Cup though, which VLR build the cars for.

They certainly do, but the Cup's budget is hardly BTCC level right?
Plus VLR have most elements in place already which is a nice money-saver PS Of course it wasn't the only reason. If they were winning they wouldn't have gone. But the situation is different nowdays isn't? |

Maybe they should realise doing the BTCC in 2002 and 2003 would have been more beneficial to winning than signing Richard Burns.
