Aysedasi's Le Mans Update
If I may, can I mention to anyone who may be interested that I have (finally) updated my site with the 2007 story.
http://www.aysedasi.co.uk I still have links pages there - including one for Tenths members, so if anyone wants to add a link or just update, let me know..... |

About time too
Its been looking rather sorry for itself recently, with that counter tolling the days since Le Mans '07 rather than expectantly counting down.... Those Tourists stories get longer every year, it's no wonder it takes you so long to complete them |

I'm looking at a complete revamp after this year's race. Perhaps I'll even get the story up by February 09 this time........ |

Well, in a way it works well to have the story up in April. 2007 was a long time ago, it's refreshing to look back on last years events with a bit of distance
I'm looking forward to 2008 more than ever now, since I'm finally going myself. It was arranged as a belated 21st birthday gift, I'm going with a couple of mates from uni and my dad. Can't wait. |

I hadn't realised that Will. Great news. I haven't yet read about our Tenths meeting(s) but hopefully we can meet....
(BTW - 21!!! - those early TTFRL days seem an awfully long time ago!) |

Nice report, as always.
Your stats about the number of 'Tourists' over the years as inspired my to spend this afternoon working out the numbers for our own group over the (11) years. Was the geezer in the shirt and tie on page1 part of the group or the neighbour? (perhaps the smartest person ever on a LM trip) I think I've asked before, are you never tempted to travel down earlier and catch the qualifying session? |

That's Richard. He has been a Tourist - 88, 91, 94 and 04 to the memory. He lives just across the road from the Chief Tourist so if he's not coming with us, he always pops over to toast our good health for the weekend with a glass of red! He'd only just returned home from the office. As it happens - he's gonna be a Tourist again this year! As to the other question - I've thought about this soooooo many times. In fact, I drove to Warwick yesterday for a training course and spent most of the journey there mulling it over in my mind, mainly because the Chief Tourist mentioned to me a week ago that he'd quite like to do the full week one year. So its on the cards, I think, but I'd be looking at doing the whole week, scrutineering and all. Hey, a full week and weekend in France? I think I could handle that! |

Just in case anyone's interested, I've just revised my 1987 pages. When I started out I only had 10meg of space from my ISP, so I had to use it sparingly. That then increased to 50meg, which was still pretty limiting. Now that I'm on effectively unlimited space, I'm revising each of my stories in turn, scanning the other pics I took and putting up the full text I'd recorded elsewhere. So.....
