Has anybody seen that Synchro Motorsport, which is made up largely by Honda employees will be entering a BTCP Accord and Civic. They raced in NSC last year.

To me that seems like a 'semi-works' team, doesn't it?

I also heard that somewhere. However, i dont think a manufacturer would enter even as a 'semi-works' team in the BTCP. It would have to be the BTCT. On a totally altogether different topic, who does everyone think will win this year's BTCP? Id have to plump 4 Barwell MSport and James Kaye. However, i reckon Matt Kelly, Roger Moen and Gavin Pyper will also feature.

Synchro have been racing in the NSC for a few years. The team is based at Honda's Swindon factory and run by factory employees (even the drivers work there). The whole operation is run on a volunteer basis - that is, all the work is un-paid and done after hours or at weekends. The factory do help with facilities and equipment but I doubt even they would view it as any sort of works or semi-works team.

Roger Moen will win the BTCP championship because he is in a Peugeot, however, the Barwell Hondas will be very close.

There's a Peugeot rally team who work along the same lines as Synchro running a 206 out of Ryton. Aren't the BTCC cars being ran from the factory again like before?

Sounds like a bit like the HART team in NA which operates out of the Ohio(??) manufacturing complex. The team gets equipment, a tiny operating/race budget and are allocated a certain number of paid days which members can take in order to get to/from the races. It is by no means a "Blank cheque" budget. So perhaps, HART and the Syncros team can qualify for 25% Works then; a semi-semi Works team???

Where indeed has Alan Morrison disappeared to? The least he deserves is a crack at defending his title in the BTCP.

Don't you think that morrisons' skills were flattered by the peugeot. If you compare him to his various team mates he was never that great.

True, Eaves and Ruokonen otperformed him, but he still deserves a crack at defending his title. Btw, where is Toni Ruokonen and what is he doing in 2001?
