Le Mans 24 Hours Streaming

Thought I might start this thread a bit early so its easier to group all the streams that get posted.

For those of you who use TVAnts, this thread on myp2p has a list of what is being shown and when:

http://www.myp2pforum.eu/motorsports...g-discuss.html

It will also show any other places streaming it as well.

The coverage will be the French coverage, so RLM might be needed.

Basically a program that lets you stream stuff on the internet.

If you don't want to use it, by tomorrow there should be plenty of streams up.

Even if the stream is in English though I would still reccomend using Radio Le Mans.

I'd always recommend using RLM - why use anything else when you can have the best?

You might have to tweak the stream a bit if you do, as the Radio coverage can be delayed for a few seconds.

I had to last year as the radio stream was about 30 seconds behind the race stream.

Can eurosport be played full screen? Don't fancy paying the fee for a 300px video feed.

Bought it, it can be played full screen, and its not too bad of a quality although i think come Le Man i'll drop my screen resolution so its not streching the picture too much

Just tried it, you can open the mms Euro player stream in Windows Media Player and change the window size to any you want.

Eurosport player - check.
Cell phone prepared for 24 hour flat rate web access so I can get RLM while out on Saturday - check

I'm ready. Might have to check if I can get the player to work on my phone...I'm reasonably certain it would work if I could get the mms link into the phone's media player, but I can't access that because embedded video doesn't work on Opera Mobile.

When I get home I might put the highest quality Eurosport player on my TV instead of the actual TV picture...probably better quality and with an external player I'll be able to sync it with RLM.

I now subscribed to the Eurosport player. Only complaint is that (just like it says in the FAQ), in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway you can't have English commentary.

Otherwise it is much better than year ago, with the low/high/very high bitrate selections and also the possibility to open the stream in external player is nice.

How can you do that? Yesterday at qualifying RML had a delay of 1m03s...

You mean delay to tv broadcast? You can't unless you have time machine...

But if anyone wants to try matching the Eurosport Player stream (or any other mms stream, if available during the race) and RLM, then it should be possible with VLC player (just in case get the latest version, these options has recently been updated).

In VLC: Media -> Open Network, paste the stream url and check "Show more options". Also notice that "Play another media synchronously", I think you could put the RLM stream url here.

I don't think that will work, because it doesn't know how it's supposed to sync the two streams. But in VLC you can manually set a time delay for one stream, also under "Show more options"

Yes it is stupidity that we cant have english commentary, not even for the player, in scandinavia. Send a complaint to eurosport in sweden, I have done it many times.

Anyway wouldnt it be possible to change the proxy setting or something like that so it looks like your computer is outside scandinavia?

Just tried with UK proxy. I logged in and the channels were "British Eurosport" now. But there is no way this will work in practice because free proxies are so slow, and too slow for video streams. I got the mms address for the English stream, opened it in WMP but it didn't start. There likely is some sort of IP detection and the mms addresses seems to change once in a while so in practice it would be pain in the ass, even if there was a really fast proxy server.

I wonder what that "Motorsport: Le Mans 24 Hours 13-14/06" stream will be. So far there has been nothing in it but I suspect there will be for the race... maybe continous stream, no need to swap between ES1 and ES2?

The stream seems a bit slow this morning on the very-high setting. Working ok on the high setting though.
