devilsfood44 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Travel to Brands for BTCC

Hi all:

I'm going to be in London over the first weekend in October and would like to get to Brands Hatch for the BTCC race, at least on Saturday. I'm wondering how easy/difficult it is to get to the track. I'm staying within walking distance of Victoria Station, so that would be a logical starting point for me. Any advice? Thanks in advance ...

I'll see about moving this thread to "Trackside", you'll probably get a better response there.

I think you can get trains quite close to Brands, then a taxi/walk, I'm sure someone knows better than me, I always drive.

Have a check of this thread, where there was a fair bit of discussion on the best train station for Brands!

Swanley's best from experience, did it last year from Blackfriars and it's about £10 for a taxi. No idea how much though as got a lift to circuit.

why I said £10 for a taxi I have no idea seeing as I contradicted it with no idea how much it costs....and I've never done it by taxi.

today's lesson - read posts before posting

it was £10 for a taxi 2-3 years ago. perhaps if you pre-booked you might get a better rate.

Extract from another site

Rail: Regular services to Swanley Station (five miles from the venue) operate from London Victoria, the Medway towns, Sevenoaks and the Kent coast. For local train service information ring 0171 928 5100. Swanley station is a ten minute taxi ride to/from the circuit.

Thanks for the help, folks. I'm (reasonably) confident I'll be able to find my way there!
