Another farcical scheduling blunder by the ACO

The Nurburgring 24 and Monza clash. Though I don't think you can really take it to the ACO as much as Fuji and PLM.

Nurburgring 24 is just a GT3 and lower event so why does anyone care if it's on the same weekend?

It is also a major endurance race with traditional teams and high caliber drivers, at least with the GT3 cars. It is a shame it clashes with N24's final hours, but I think this is part of the game.

However, this one wasn't really an ACO blunder. The N24 date was moved and caused issues. It clashed with Blancpain this weekend too until SRO moved the Silverstone race. |

2 safety cars and an accident under sc too. This race is abysmal so far. The gridding process for the N24 is actually more interesting.

A spin/crash under safety car. LMP3 truly has taken the mantle of sportscars' unwanted child from PC.

Less than an hour in and we've had two safety cars and an incident under the safety car…

LMP3 gets spun by a GT car. Tries to recover, parks in the gravel. FCY.
Maybe the second half of this race will be better. |

Maybe im being unfair but i swear that every time i watch ELMS, LMP3 are causing huge amounts of drama. Its as bad as LMPC was in IMSA.

Safety car for an LMP3 accident.
I'm just going to copy and paste this post for the rest of the race. |

Usually LMP3s are the worst, but not normally this bad. Cleanup is taking a while too. It's just generall crap. Although it has to be said that the first 2 SCs were LMP2 accidents and the first LMP3 spin was put there by a GTE.

It wasn't this bad at Paul Ricard. Maybe Monza brings out the worst in people

On the plus side, they're now so practised with the safety car procedure that when there is an error, they can fix it on track before the marshals have finished cleaning up.
So...that's good I guess. |

One issue is the lack of separation between the LMP3 and the GTE-AMs. At this stage of the race, the GTE-AMs are often as fast or faster than the LMP3s…

It begs the questio: why not give the LMP3s a wee bit more power? Increase in cost? They'd only need another 20 horsepower or so and that Nissan engine is barely working in its current guise.

It's sort of fitting that this race should end with a car in the gravel.

Didn't enjoy that race. Even after it got going it failed to engage. Maybe the N24 set the bar too high.

Agreed. To be honest I am tired of seeing Bronze and Silver drivers put at the wheel when the safety car is on so that their driving time clock starts ticking. All those teams getting around the pro-am format is making me sick.
We need a big revamp of the pro-am thing in the ELMS. ACO : drop it or make it fair and square. Quickly ! I have some ideas |

I don't know why (maybe the track), but I didn't enjoy the race, it was difficult to follow too the action. I watched the race at the end of the day in youtube.
