any how the cars that got thro to the last 10 ran before the bikes had chance to do their run, so the bikes were pulled off and then the cars ran. at this point i had no idea of the time or any curfew in place. if the lads on bikes were really annoyed they certainly were when it came to 5.30pm GMT as they lined up again to be told day over. i hope that helps Dani |

Unfortunate but it happens.
Was nice to see the bikes and sidecars running at the sprint, added a bit of variety. |

New Curfew?
In previous years the curfew used to be SIX O'CLOCK and we have drifted to quarter past. However the organisers were only informed AFTER the bikes were called forward for their second timed runs that the curfew had been changed. They then took the decision to bump the bikes and get the TOP TWELVE run-off completed as that was the first round of the SBD Motorsport British National Sprint Championship. After the run-off the circuit management closed the venue so the bikes missed out on their second runs.
The Sprint Championship co-ordinator, Paul Parker, has been at pains to explain that he was (a) not consulted, and (b) had no input into the decision. He has also had a chat with the Auto 66 team to make it clear it was none of his doing. |
