Spoonerboro has kindly offered to produce a 10 Tenths banner for use trackside. This will be on display at the campsite when we're in residence, and will be moved to the track when we're there... a bit of fun publicity as well as another means of identification for new members.
The question is... what do we want on it ?? At the moment we're gonna go with 'ten-tenths.com Barmy Army On Tour' but if you have any better suggestions, post em here. To allow us to have the thing produced in time for the newxt BTCC meeting at Thruxton, we're gonna set a closing date of Wednesday this week on suggestions... Fire away folks! |

all i would say is keep the number of words down because the less you have means more space meaning easier too spot!!
tentenths.com Barmy Army sounds good though |

Personally, I think "Ten-Tenths on Tour" would be better. Anyone who knows us knows we are a bit barmy, but I think that since we're getting a higher and higher profile, a touch of professionalism wouldn't go amiss. The "Barmy Army" bit might put people (especially older prospective site visitors I think) off. Besides, if the banner just says "Ten-Tenths on Tour" with the URL people might not immediately twig it's a fan site, and so be more curious, and more likely to visit. Plus with fewer words, you can make the letters bigger, which will stand out more.
You could add another section to the site's front page with "Where are 10-10ths this weekend?" on it, and suggest that site visitors might want to come to meetings and look out for us. Just my humble opinion... |

I agree with Maisie, Ten-Tenths on Tour is more inclusive. If I saw ten-tenths barmy army it wouldn't encourage me to visit the sight, just an image thing of british yobbos getting Pi$$ed wearing union jack shorts whilst watching cricket overseas. Ladies and Gents, we have more class

If Maisie and Marshal hadn't already said everything I was going to, I'd be writing that. But they have, so I'll just say I agree with them 100%
So: 1. Get the Logo on it 2. Ten-Tenths on Tour is great. I'm sure we can get a few more instances of the letter 'T' in if we try hard enough! 3. Get the URL underneath if poss. |

Point taken. We'll save the barmy army bit for the John B&Q banner which will follow... Tracey ????!
Thanks for the suggestion of the logo, Michael, but we'll be getting some flags screen printed at a later date... we'll save the logo for them I think |

How many flags, whose the flag bearer ??
It seems that often members are at various events around the globe at various times. Therefore maybe more than 1 flag is required. Also I agree, keep it simple, avoid the Barmy Army bit for now. It will attract the wrong sort on hoodlum. All going well I hope to be a Thruxton to see the banner. Simon |

Ten-Tenths On Tour is the best one - nice alliteration 'n' all that. Wicked.
P.S Plus a Ten-Tenths On Tour flag would look excellent alongside my Minardi and Kimi banners at testing/Belgian GP. Last edited by Minardi fan; 22 Apr 2001 at 21:28. |

How about a flag like WoodyTJ's, but replace the "NEAL" with "ARSE!" and have 10 Tenths in very small letters at the bottom?
No? Ok |

I like "Ten-Tenths Trackside" best but "Ten-Tenths on Tour" is good too.
Bring one of those flags to Le Mans and we'll have SIX FLAGS OVER FRANCE. (American, Canadian, Welsh, British, Brazilian and 10-Tenths.) |
