Gibernau's decision
Do you people think Gibernau murdered his championship hopes by not choosing the new spec honda and sticking with the old one? I mean the new spec honda is clearly faster than the old one as Barros demonstrated in Estoril. Maybe it is maybe it's not but it was certainly looking pretty quick while coming out of corners and accelerating away into the straights. Sete's bike seemed to be weak compared to the repsol honda. Yet tamada got pole on the same bike so it's all a little confusing.
Well, setup hassles for the telefonica movistar team, But i have a feeling that the new honda would've suited sete's style, had he given it some more time on the track. Your opinions? |

Something is certainly wrong in the Telefonica camp at the moment as Sete just hasn't been on the pace at all in the past two races.
The new bike certainly does look like a good package, but perhaps it's down to what Sete feels comfortable on. Maybe the new bike doesn't suit Sete's style of riding. But usually (I say usually!) when it's new, it means better. |

Bridgestones are the reason Tamada was so fast today. How else do you explain a suzuli on the front row and a kawaski on the podium.

It was certainly a Bridgestone track, probably because they've done a lot of testing there. I don't think anyone could've beaten Tamada this weekend.
Sete's probably wary of switching bikes mid-season, especially if he feels he's getting 110% out of the old Honda (and the championship bears him out on this) and didn't adjust to the new bike immediately. |

I think that Michelin and Honda are parting ways....all those chatter troubles.
Maybe it will end up being Yamaha/Michelin Honda/Bridgestone?? |

It seems Sete is being cautious, but caution will not win him the title. My view is that he's already lost in his mind, and is not willing to make any serious effort to get back on terms. Sticking with the bike he knows is the safe option, not what one would hope to see from a potential world champion.
