Sad news, but what a long and amazing life he had. And a great long and successful career he had too. Like the Foyts and Andrettis, the Unsers are a great racing dynasty

Often overshadowed by his wins at The Brickyard are his 13 wins at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
A relic when I started watching racing, I recall him mostly as a broadcaster, but he was certainly one of the best of his day. Rest well, Uncle Bobby! |

The Unser family loved Pike's Peak.
Bobby sizzled around Indy in Dan Gurney's Eagle, that 1972 pole position really ushered in a new era. |
