Lydden Rallycross August Bank Holiday

Hopefully as a way of moving on from the Mallory thing, Who will be attending the Aug bank hol meeting at Lydden ???,

As a few of you will know i started back this year after a 12 year lay off from Rallycross. The reason I packed in back then was because it all became very political championships parted company and a certain few competitors were trying to take the sport in one direction to suit themselves, as an outsider looking in I thought the sport had sorted itself out in the last few years. So after a mad moment one night whilst trawling eBay i became the owner of a stockhatch car, I chose the Rallycross Open series as my choice due to the extra TV coverage and attention that seemed to be given to the lower end of the sports competitors Now all thats gone !!!

I have moved on and intend to support whats left of the British series (funds allowing) for the good of the sport.

So can we all do the same and look forward to the next round at Lydden in Sept and hope it's a goodun

Yes i know it's not september as it says in the title before everyone mentions it

maybe i carnt stop thinking about Mallory after all.

I have edited the title but it still reads septemeber on the front page DOH!!!

i have contacted the admin to ask if it can be changed

I always think the August Bank Holiday meeting is the best of the year. Good weather (usually), good entry, good atmosphere and good racing. Not much to ask, is it...?

I think there should be a bumper stock hatch entry in comparison to previous rounds this year; Audi S1 and I worked out there could be around 20 in the class. We also have to welcome a new member to the stock hatch fold in the shape of our very own Hickey1. Anyone else coming out to play for the first time at Lydden?

New bumper fitted, dents knocked out, new rad in. Car in fact, is ready to go.

Just hoping that mrs daz2202 drops daz2202 jnr at least a couple of days before the meeting or I may struggle for a going out pass !!!

Yes we'll be there, am looking forward to it already. Just replaced holed rad, new front screen ordered, patching up dings and dents on front. Old girl should be looking something like again

Yup al be there.

As pointed out by Dave above should be the best supported entry of the year in all classes, expect at least 1 suprise appearance!!

Looking forward to stockhatch class, should get close to 20 cars i reckon.

After getting a new screen, sorted front shocks, sump guard, brakes and new radiator the old girl is nearly ready to go!

Oh and great news ref Blyton in Sept!!

Just had a lok at the long range forecast it looks a bit crappy

I assume the entry list will be available by monday/tuesday next week, just hope the rains have been and gone before the meeting

Take a look at the weather forecast on the official MET CHECK website it shows dry all weekend sat, sun and mon fairly warm

Yeh should be a good entry, although not sure how many Belgians will travel as Monday is not a B/H over there!

Also just read Pat has done his back in so wont be racing.... but Liam taking over the Fiesta instead. Also Procter and Pauwels joining in the fun!

Also Mr Bird..... will mix things up in Mod's, let the feathers fly!

My browser at work doesnt seem to like the site and returns an error message. If you refresh (sometimes more than once) then it tends to work.

Anyway, great entry. Assume that Langenburg is in the Fabia that Pauwels raced at the ERC. Hoping that Pauwels will make it over too.
