Upside down Superbike series

Why do you all think that in the World Superbike and British Superbikes the series is dominated by twins, yet in the US and Japanese the fours are flogging the Ducati's and Honda's?

And, until the rules where changed in the Aussie Superbike series in 2001, $ cylinder bikes won every series except one.

Mal Campell on a Honda RC30 in 89 & 90 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Aaron Slight on Kawasaki in 1991 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Mat Mladin on Kawasaki in 1992 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Troy Corser on Honda in 1993 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Anthony Gobert on Honda in 1994 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Kirk McCarthy on Honda in 1995 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Peter Goddard on Suzuki in 1996 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Marty Craggill on Kawasaki in 1997 & 1998 - 750cc 4 cylinder
Steve Martin on Ducati in 1999 - 1000cc V Twin
Shaun Giles on Suzuki GSXR-750 in 2000 - 750cc 4 cylinder

shawn giles won the 2001 aus superbike title on the gsx-r 1000....why dont suzuki use this bike in the wsb championship

the suzuki GSXR-1000 is a 4 cylinder 1000cc, not a V twin. In WSB the rules say if you want a 750cc bike it must be 4 cylinder, if you want a 1000cc bike it must be a V Twin, therefore the 1000cc suzuki is not eligible.

The Australian series now runs production superbikes which means, obviously, different rules and allows a bit more freedom in capacity vs cylinders.
