Don K if it is any consolation... you were the unchallenged winner if the results with the WDC predictions were taken... un fortunately those are used only as a tiebreaker..

I'm quite happy with my position, as I only entered about half the races.
Next year, look out! |

Thanks Ralf Fan for all your work to make the whole season interesting and fun for the forum.
And thanks to Don K for his congratulations. I'll say that it feels real, real good to have finished first in points but the competition was very close at the top and Don K was a very tough competitor. There's no way I can say my predictions were better than his. Luck had a lot to do with the final outcome. In acknowledgement of this, I'll drink a Grolsch or an Amstel to the health of Don K, Ralf Fan, R and the predictions competition participants. :beer (OK, OK, it's an excuse but it will do just fine) I guess all that's left is to wait for Murray Walker, the Trophy....and the Ferrari   Cheers everyone, RT |

I should really make the ffort and take part in the prediction comp next year, but my problem is chronic laziness.

Well done RT, a great win and well done to all those who have taken part, the last few races were pretty tight- well, in this comp anyway.
Many many thnks to Ralfie, R and co. for overseeing the comp, it has been great fun and much appreciated. I know that you had to do the last round manually Ralfie - but I seem to have come 5th and 14th!! Well done and roll on the party!! |

It amazes me that every year I finish with the same total points as EERO.
We do everything together it seems. This included this year coming home in one millionth place! PS Ralf is fast approaching his use by date. |

I wish I could tell hrug: I think next year it's going to be a lot of fun to do the predictions competition . I have a feeling that there is going to be more parity among the F1 teams and more diversity in the results. This year we all were more or less choosing the same group of point finishers and everything depended on the final position. I don't expect the rest of the F1 grid to continue to stay behind mighty Ferrari. It should be fun to watch and predict Cheers, RT |

Not really, We got glimpses of the resurgence of McLaren and Williams can't always come up with an aerolump. BAR should stay in shape and Renault could be a real contender if they get some "grunt in the lump", that engine really needs to catch up.
I am Schumacher fan and I wouldn't be too upset if they left the rest of the field behind However, this season was about the excellence of Ferrari as much as about the other teams getting it wrong a bit (McLaren and Williams) of still being a work in progress (BAR and Renault). This is bound to change and the end of the season gave us some pretty good hints of what to expect next year. Cheers, RT |

RT - I agree, especially about M Schumacher, have noted your comments and will be up against you again next season - to beat you if I can.
Another well done! Last edited by Pitstop; 31 Oct 2004 at 23:34. |
