Jim Lamb should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Dick Mayo 1932 - 2004

I noticed a small column entry in last weeks AutoSport recording the passing of Dick Mayo.

I was very saddened to read the Obit'. Dick was one of the nice guys you meet around HillClimbs & Sprints and I understand one of those people, who work tirelessly behind the scenes for Motor Sport in the UK.

There is a page on the ASWMC site dedicated to him;
http://www.aswmc.org.uk/rbm.htm

My condolences to family and friends.

Regards,

Jim Lamb

(Stephen, can we leave this on the Marshals Forum for a few days before moving it to tributes?)

No problem Jim. I will leave it here until the weekend and then move it to the tributes forum.

Steve Wilkinson is a back marker
Well remebered

At the insistance of the British Sprint Championship drivers there was an additional minutes silence at the August Bank Holiday sprint at Colerne.
Dick was well respected for all he did at National, Area and club level. I only met him on a handful of occasions but was impressed by his knowledge and authority.
He will be sadly missed.
