Race Driver
I have been recently addicted to race Driver on PS2-(Toca race dirver/DTM race driver/V8 race driver) I am really bugg-ed about getting any decent lap time in the V8 supercars...really this game is fantastic, after a spell. It is no GPL or GT3 but it is oh so much hair pulling joystick throwing maddening fun. Is any one feeling this game is really sensitive in the steering or do i just stink? TOCA 1 was like this at first then i crushed it, so a i just in a learning phase or is this a real challenge (by the way I stil can not break 1:31 at monza in GPL-what the?)

You're not the only one who's having a hard time at GPL...
and on your question, the controls are quite twitchy sometimes, but not that it bothers too much. |

Hehe, it looks like i am not the only one stuck on a 1m31 at monza.
Actually, i haven't bettered a 1m32 since i switched to a manual box... |

I set a new Monza pb yesterday - 1m28.237. But I'd give up a second of that to get the Cooper and BRM negative there as well......

I got rid of my Pro Race Driver after about a week. I thought it sucked, the opponent cars were braking on the sweeping turns and taking the hairpins at full throttle. Pitiful opponent AI. The dialogue and storyline was ignorant and juvenile and did nothing to enhance the gameplay. I waited 8 months (prepaid) to get the game only for it to be much more hype than substance. Codemasters needs to do some housecleaning if they thought this was going to be ultimate racing game.

Codemasters never had the chance to release the ultimate racing game, because the real ultimate racing game was made more than 5 years ago by some company named Papyrus.....

After cleaning up on GT3 in a week as I was home injured at the time V8 Driver was disapointing whats with Ryan ??? codemaster did ok at the TOCA games and went backwards I think with this one.
I'm not blonde but can you tell me what is GPL ? is it Grand Prix League ?? |
