The 2010 F1 Car Launch Thread

I thought that it might be a good idea to start a launch thread.

First up will be Ferrari, who are due to show us their car today (Thurs 28th). Most of the teams will unveil their cars from today and over the weekend.

It is very busy. I got in early so it's working quite well for me but I know others haven't been so lucky

Still haven't taken the covers off yet but it looks sort of Red Bull-ish

Ah, now they've done it. Does indeed look Red Bull-ish

I want to see something a bit radical...

I wonder how hard you can bend these current regulatations?

I'd love to see 2 extremes of designs - one really basic stripped down version that'd still be within the regs, and a really extreme one with as much downforce on as possible. I'd enjoy seeing the differences between either ends of the spectrum.

Front wing looks different, and the design of the mid to rear seems somewhat streamlined in comparison to the nice curves of last year's car.

Apart from being longer, it looks somewhat similar to last year's overheard.

Ughh, the cars are already long and thin, making them longer just accentuates that.

Give me short wheelbase and wide track any day.

That's what I thought. But it's been checked on apparently, and they are the narrower front tyres. I guess 25mm (1 inch) isn't that much difference?

Oh me,oh my. I've gone all giddy with the launch season starting!

I didn't think I was going to like the white being reintroduced but it's nice, the whole car is nice! Very redbullish nose,maybe just a little wider. I'm sure that will be a feature on more than one of the other teams cars. The top of the side pods kind of remind me of the williams from last year, and the rear body work near the gear box seems to have gotten the red bull treatment as well, very tight.

are they really the new tyres?! I was expecting something a little narrower!

They're looking more and more like the 1997 cars, in a way. I was expecting the whole narrow front tyre to emphasise that a little more.

Thinking back to 2003, it wasn't apparent then that Michelins front tyre was wider than it should have been.
