It is a help!
I have a 1967 122s that needs a bit of TLC. My brother also
has a 1965 122s, but his was imported to England from
Germany. This was raced by my dad but wasn't very
competitive (it had trouble keeping up with Hilman Imps,
Morris Minors, Austin A35s, Minis, etc.....anything really)
but it looked good (light blue with white wheels).
This was raced in CSCC in the old pre-65 class.

There are two Volvos racing in Historic Toruing Cars in Australia. They are both immaculately prepared and reasonably competituve in their class. One is a 144, the other is a 142. They both compete in the NSW Appendix J championship.

The Maylams ran an older Volvo in the Classics but they sold it and I don't know where it went.

I remember the Maylams having a Pugeot 203 and an Austin A35 a while back. I was asking about Volvo in CSCC because I
was thinking about entering with something different to
Triumph Dolomites and Lotus Cortinas when I learn to drive.

By the way, what do you think about a Volvo 240 Estate in
Pre-90's?

A 240 estate with automatic transmission and a flat hat stuck to your helmet I presume ? And lots of rust and a tow bar and running lights and rugs and a flask securely fastened behind the back seat

This sounds like a discussion for the CSCC forum !
