Deltawing Guessing Game (Poll Added)
Just a little game, for a bit of fun. How far do you think the Deltawing will go in the 24 Hours before retiring. Guess the hour in which you think car 0 will retire. Unless you think it will finish, of course.

I think it will finish--assuming no accidents.

I think it will push through to the end but will have enough issues to keep it from being classified as a finisher.

I also think it will finish - probably unclassified (in terms of what would have been unclassified had it been counting in the results). I certainly do not expect the DW to be out in a couple of hours.....

IMO, this car has many chances to finish the race. The 1,6 litres turbo engine is reliable, as a rally engine and gives only 300 hp. Nissan supports this project too.

From what I've heard the gearbox is the weak link, not even the team expects it to last.

I made a prediction in the chat room that I would like to stick with but can't recall, so I'll attempt to remember:
Run for 5 or 6 hours relatively trouble free, then to the shed for 1.5 hours worth of repairs only to retire shortly thereafter. I'll go with 9; good number |

I hope you don't mind RoeDent, but I thought I'd add a poll as it's easier to see visually.....
Just even hour options and will be running at the end. |

Mystic Truck says: the delta wing will do a few laps and then wait until 30 mins before the end and take the flag.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?
I fear more for the electrical system. That correlates with the earlier post of run a few hours then `into the shed'.

There's just so much that is new on the car.
On the other hand, it appears they have been focussed on getting the new stuff working and the traditional stuff has been hurting for attention. I've never been clear on what you can and can't change in the garage. Is the engine (and presumably the tub) the only things you aren't allowed to change? There's inattentive amateurs on the track which could take it out even if it works perfectly. I'm rooting for it, which means it's hexed. I put 8 hours. |

I didn't think of making it a poll. I didn't think anyone would take it 'seriously' enough. Even though it is just a bit of fun. I hope it will be there at the finish, of course I do, but somehow I doubt it. I think I'll go for 16. It'll retire while I sl**p.

Will be running at the end but I'm thinking a good number of laps down within 5 laps to the GTE leaders. Might be a race like the old LMP675s, run as much as possible but with some rest time in the garage to make sure it's running at the end.
