Thuxton kerbs
Just watching bsb from thruxton on eurosport. Is it me or have the kerbs at the chicane been lowered on the exit?

The chicane and the kerbs have been changed. The central element has been moved 50cm further out (making the corner more acute) and the previous kerb profile has been changed.
From a level surface with 20cm wide, rectangular channels about 4cm deep, it has become a wavy surface, with, I think, an irregular period. I'd be interested to hear if you think this has made any difference to the bikes? Regards Jim |

I wonder what measures they will put in place for the Touring Cars etc to stop them simply straightlining them. Much better for bikes though.

Seems much safer for bikes, be interesting to see how cars deal with it! Do we know the reason for the changes?

Unsure if the changes were made primarily for the bikes but i know that everytime the Renault Clios are on track at least one of them will rip the sump off of their cars resulting in a pileup or lengthy track clean up.
