Ed-f1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Having been travelling for the best part of a year I haven't got much of an idea about what games have come out since than (for playstation)

What games would you reccomend I buy when I get home?
What sort of games do I like I hear you ask. Well so far my collection includes:

Andretti racing
Civilisation 2
F1 & F1'97
Final Fantasy 7
Gran Turismo
International Track and Field
Micro Machines V3
Resident Evil 2
Sim City 2000
Super Puzzle Fighter 2

That's about it I think - so any suggestions?

From the list I assume we're talking Playstation, and you have a varied taste in games like myself, so here are the other games I'd recommend you buy:

Metal Gear Solid (essential purchase)
Vagrant Story
Music 2000
Muppet Racemania
Colin McRae Rally 2.0
Driver

Also consider purchasing Final Fantasy 8, but in many people's opinions, including myself, it just isn't up to the same incredible standard as FF7.

So nice to see that you already own F1 '97, FF7 and Civilization 2 - three BRILLIANT games.

I'd like to second the vote for Colin McRae 2.0. It's excellent.

Avoid at all costs V-Rally 2 and Gran Turismo 2. In the case of the former, it's farcically bad and in the case of the latter, the developers cared so much about adding zillions of cars, they forgot to make it difficult. I find the most enjoyable part of it is to do the super-licence tests.

Midtown Madness 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is coming out in October and it will be great. I have Midtown Madness 1, and it is amazing.

In Midtown Madness 1, you could drive a variety of cars through downtown Chicago. They mapped out all of downtown Chicago perfectly. There is not place your car cannot go, even in the river!

Midtown Madness 2 will put you in downtown San Francisco, and, even better, London, England! And remember, you can go anywhere.

Of course there are also the usual races, police chases, etc, etc.

And of course, if you don't already have it, you will want Grand Prix 3!

Agree - GT2 was utterly dismal.

The racing was too HARD I thought, because the new engine enabled cars to catch up with you no matter what their specification. The graphics were shoddy, the music not a patch on GT1's, and in general it was a poor release.

I found GT2 too easy after a couple of weeks, but then again I played it 24/7 for about a month.

I liked it though because of the BMW's. When I first saw those 328Ci's it was like a dream come true.

I actually enjoy GT2. Though it's not as difficult or as realistic as I would like, it's still the best driving simulation available for a game console (like the PSX).

Is Colin McRae Rally anything like the Rally mode in GT2? I really enjoy rally racing in GT2, but it's one car on the track, and the tracks are like Special Stages- very short. What is the Colin McRae game like? Cars, tracks, gameplay, realism, etc.? Is it available in the U.S.?
