It is a tuned version for the road. But yes, this pagani looks way much better for racing .
Hope they will consider taking it in the GT1 racing.. |

Looks alot more suited for GT racing with longer rear overhang. Now they need to build 12 before they car race it in GT1 though.

Yes it is only for the circuit.
But just as the MC-12 and FXX it is not homoligated. So it is only for rich sportfanatics |

Only has 525 ft lbs of torque. Might want to up that by at least 100-125 ft lbs to be commpetitive in GT1.

Just took a look at the comparison picture of the old and new Zonda - it's definitely a looker with that streamlined body. Who would bet against it being on the next series of Top Gear.

There are only 7 being built total. Pagani also has a new supercar in development; the Zonda's successor. But this Zonda R will simply be a track car for extremely affluent clients, same as the Maserati MC12C and the Ferrari FXX. Horacio himself unfortunately, has very little interest in motor racing. It would be very slim chance to see them ever produce a "factory" GT1 or GT2 car. Possible, yes, but probable? definitely not... If had had the major bank to do it properly though, I would run a Pagani LMP Coupe for 2010 myself...
