Brian Laban (1948-2016)
Motoring author Brian Laban passed away on December 27, 2016. Amongst the various motoring books, he wrote a comprehensive history of the LeMans 24 Hour Race.

Sorry to lose Brian, a good friend to many in the automotive media world, good company and top bloke. Got involved in a few unsuccessful publications in his earlier career, not down to his skills but he was probably too nice for his own good and taken advantage of by some unscrupulous publishers. However he could be proud of his many successful publications and the wealth of knowledge he brought to them. His cheery presence will be missed by me and many others.
